Shoot! That adds 2 hours to the trip from where I was coming from. I don't know if I can still do that. :(

I had contacted the Dunn Center for the Performing Arts when it was announced the concert was going to be there to check when tickets would go on sale. They sent me an email back that the contracts had been mailed and once they got them back, the tickets would be up for sale. I wonder what happened? It's on the campus of North Carolina Wesleyan College, a Methodist school and I did notice that the other acts they have booked are basically Christian bands but Al's shows are very family friendly and being Methodist myself, I know the denomination isn't nearly as conservative as some others so the content of his music or his concerts shouldn't have been an issue. I had actually hoped I could talk my mom and maybe even my step-dad into going to the show since they live just an hour and a half from Rocky Mount.

Oh well, Raleigh is about the same distance from me as Richmond. If things don't work out with getting tickets to the DC show, I'll probably go to this one, if it doesn't get changed again.

Woo-hoo, the venue change is good news for me :).

Has anybody heard anything about an on-sale date for tickets? It seems odd that there's no info yet for either this or the Carowinds show and we're only about a month away.

I've been thinking the same thing and it's starting to make me a little concerned about both NC dates. The date for the Carowinds show is listed on the Ticketmaster site but as of right now, there's not even a sell date scheduled for the tickets. The Progress Energy Center doesn't even have the show listed on their website yet, much less when tickets will be on sale!

As of today, the Progress Energy Center is finally listing this show on their website. So that's a good sign...

I saw that too and breathed a sigh of relief! I'm kinda hoping they wait at least until next Wednesday to put the tickets up for sale; my TV finally died last night so I had to spend the money I was holding onto for the tickets on replacing it.

Sorry to double post but I wanted to let folks know that tickets for this show go on sale tomorrow at 10am, according to the ticketmaster website. Still no word on when the tickets for the Carowinds show will be on sale, though.

Now ticketmaster is back to the nebulous "currently not on sale."
