Hey all, I actually just joined this forum hoping to find some pics and vids of the show on Wednesday (waiting for the film back on mine), but I thought I'd weigh in on the DE show. I actually had comped tickets courtesy of Jim; the tall red-headed cheerleader (our left on stage) is his friend, got to perform with them (obviously), and my BFF so it worked out very nicely for me. I'm the reason she adores Albuquerque, actually, so go me, heh. I'm actually pretty good friends with the other (shorter, but still red-headed) cheerleader, so if you really wanted to pass a message on, minnick27, let me know which one.
This was my first Al show (after 15 (16? more?) years of fandom, I know, what's wrong with me?), and it's honestly the best show I've ever been to (sorry David Bowie). And I turned into a total fangirl idiot when Al sat on me during WBUL (the guy next to me got a picture of it, I really want to track him down). And the X-berry donuts line in Albuquerque is now one of my favorite things to quote. I laughed myself silly during that. And screamed myself silly during the rest of it. The band still has their stuff together, and Al can still wail like crazy, so musically it was even great!
Just an awesome time. Glad to know there's a lot of local adoring Al fans, I hope none of you had to put up with the Kahunaville show many, many years ago (was a good show on Al's part, but K-ville's floating stage left a huge amount to be desired).
