Yes, it was quite funny, although each of their "dances" lasted only about 5 seconds longer than Bermuda's drum solos. Okay, maybe more like 8 seconds.......

Great review and the whole monkey dance sounds awesome! I'm glad you got to meet Al again and the babbling is normal, so don't be embarrassed.

Well, Al did also later mention that he had earlier told his booking agent how he'd like to celebrate this particular milestone by playing in a "high-school auditorium in Idaho Falls" (the Civic Auditorium is probably one of the bigger venues in town and I'm guessing it's probably used for a lot of events in the city, but it is situated on a high-school campus).

I'm still laughing about this. (He probably used a similar tone of voice/expression like he used when his birthday concert was held in a skating rink back East

!)

Maybe there's a million other places Al would rather have played? but I'm thrilled the concert was in my home state

Wow, I wish I could've seen that! I would've loved to see Bermuda and Rubén to do the monkey dance! That is just great.

Great review, Linda! hehe, did anyone get pictures of Bermuda and Rubén doing the monkey dance? That would be funny! I'm glad you got to meet Al, and get something signed by Jim. My goal is to meet Jim. He's the ony one I haven't talked to. Anyway, thanks so much for posting!

Hey there. First time poster. Long time lover.

I stumbled on this forum after trying to verify IF was indeed his 1000th show.

I would also like a add a few things to the poster above who talked about the show.

I have waited 20 years for Al to come close enough to me to go. And yes, that makes me old. So shush. It was everything I hoped for.

To lc27, I was the guy who was handing out all the yankobucks. I had grabbed somewhere around 40-50 of them off the stage and left with 7 after I got kicked off the stage and then out of the theater. I was kinda miffed. That kid and the other guy with the hat horded as many as they could and it's really sad I was the only one that bothered to hand them out so others could have a momento of the concert forever.

And to everyone else. I recorded the first monkey dance and once I recode it, I would be more than happy to youtube it. If you guys are interested let me know.

I also got his big medley in the middle with the Gilligan song I had never heard before and the Paris Hilton version of mmm mmm mmm mmm.

I snapped about 200 pics as well and ended up killing the battery on my handicam. It was a wonderful night that I will never forget.

ps: if anyone know how I could get one my yankobucks autographed, that would own so hard.

I don't think there is a fool proof formula for determining beforehand if there will be a meet n greet or not... but this thread has a pretty thorough discussion of things that make one likely.

Ah, so you were the one! Sorry, I just thought you were one of the crew because you were up on the stage. I really appreciate your thoughtfulness and generosity in sharing the yankobucks that you picked up. I was on my way down to the front to see if I could pick up any after the crowd cleared out, but there weren't any to be found by then, and I am so glad you were handing them out. You made my friends and me very happy!

I'm sorry you had to wait 20 years to see Al, and hopefully you won't have to wait that long for the next concert! The sellout crowd might help put Idaho Falls on the map as a hotbed of Al fandom and encourage another visit by the band to eastern Idaho in the near future. Also, you're not old - trust me. There is a huge age range on this forum. Unless you're a centenarian (and you didn't look like one), you're not old.

Glad you managed to get pictures and videos from the show. I know a lot of people are anxious to see the monkey dance. I didn't get any pictures as I was too far away to get any clear shots...even during "Wanna Be Ur Luvr." I'd love to see anything you've got.
