Very cool! I was just wondering the other day when the Grammy nominations would be announced. Great to see Al getting the respect again.
Not to be too pesimistic, but I think that although he has a really good shot at winning the Comedy album award, I think the Surround Sound might be a bit harder. One of the albums up for that is by the Ladysmith Black Mambazo. I haven't even heard the album, but just the thought of hearing them in surround sound gives me goosebumps. I'm sure it sounds absolutely incredible.
But I'll keep my fingers crossed for both awards anyway!

This is so awesome! I would have thought it missed the Grammy deadline, but I guess not. Now I know why Al had the surround sound option on SOL: to be eligible for another Grammy category.
