Um...did anyone see the minor update to the Internation-Al bit?
INTERNATION-AL
"Straight Outta Lynwood" will be released on Sept. 30 in Australia, on Oct. 3 in Canada, on Oct. 6 in New Zealand and on Nov. 24 in Germany. We've just been told that the record company in the UK has declined to release the album - sorry. (There's always import stores!)

(if so I guess I'll have to get a copy of both)....good thinking AL. ;-)

I think the Canadian releases also two seperate discs like the other international releases....which would mean it won't have the bonus mixes either

<_< ye-es...

On a lighter note, my friend has decided to stop being a hooligan and is buying all of Al's albums. He will be receiving SOL soon and I get to borrow it until I can get my own copy! Yay!

Yes, i saw it. :( I check that section loads! I really really hope he'll still consider doing a UK date!!! Im not sure how these things work...guessing that no UK release slims down the chance of some sort of tour though ;(

Well I thought it would be inevitable that a UK release wouldn't be forthcoming, so I ordered a US copy a little over a week ago and I got it yesterday :)

No UK release pretty much destroys any chance of any UK tour dates though.

<_< evil, huh?

I think we should make a petition. The record company has to agree to that, right? Like, if we get more than so many thousands of signatures they'll release the album over here.

That should work.....

You know deep down it wouldn't change anything :(

It's funny, but if the Blunt parody had made the album, I think that might have made it much more likely to be released here, given how that song was on the radio non-stop for four months this year.

lol

Well it might change their minds. I took part in a petition campaign to get a DVD released that the BBC said they wouldn't release until they had so many signatures. We raised the right amount of sigs and the DVD was then released!

We might as well try!

Well, the BBC is a different case altogether. It does have a public service charter to uphold!

Even though I think a petition would be highly unlikely to have any effect, it doesn't mean I wouldn't truthfully sign one :)

Lol!

It couldn't hurt! Your defeatist attitude upsets me :(

Meh, I'll do it myself.

EDIT : Though I would appreciate your signature on it! Now I need to go actually get it online...
