reading his comment mad me mad, even more than his original blog

i'm all for him not liking Al's music, not everyone can like every type of music, but dissing those people who do like it is just low. Just because you don't like a genre of music/artist it doesn't mean it/they are crap

Well, if this guy is using Sears as his entertainment barometer (did Aldi stop carrying music?), then not liking Al is probably the least of his problems.

The fact remains that people have heard of Weird Al. They've never heard of Ron Wheeler.

Do you think this could be the holdup? Maybe the studio didnt want to spen the dough on a 5.1 mix for a Weird Al album. So he had to do some negotiating delaying the album. Hopefully that was the hold up.

I'm glad someone said they agreed with me. I'm honored!

4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

It's possible, but if so then I'd have to question Volcano's reasoning. I assume they knew all along that this was going to be a Dualdisc, and most titles have featured newly remixed surround sound since the format was introduced in late 2004 (and 5.1 audio for music releases has been around since at least the even earlier DVD-Audio format from several years ago), so it would be a pretty rotten thing to do to deny Al that feature for such a release (especially his first in the format).

I'm very happy that the album will be released in surround sound. This thing is going to sound amazing! Also, Dave, you made me laugh so hard I went into a coughing fit for about 5 minutes! I'm hoping that since the album has already been mastered, the release date will be soon.
Oh by the way, I've cracked the code.
