No, I think that's a proper term for someone who works in a mail room.

Not sure where to post this, but this seems like as good a place as any. Someone recently emailed me looking for quotes from Al's appearance on "Behind the Music" a few years ago. I'm unable to get to my tape for a few days, and if any of you can help out, it'd be appreciated.

Here's the original request I received:
--------
There are two specific quotes I'm looking for. There is one he says in the beginning about how he's surprised to be on the show, and he goes through a list of things he hasn't done (Doesn't get drunk every night, hasn't slept with so many women he's lost count... So what do you want from me!!!) And the quote at the end with "as long as no one gets sick of what I do, I'll keep doing it".
-------

Either post replies here, or mail me directly at my webmaster addy. Thanks.

I went to vh1.com amd watched the clip of Al listing the things he's never done. Here is what he said:

I've never slept with a band member, I've never crippled a band member, I've never stayed on my boat for three days on a heroin binge, I've never had to deal with weight problems, I've never slept with so many women I lost count, never lip-synched to my songs except in music videos, never was an alcoholic, never was a poster child for marijuana smoking and I've never married my 13-year old cousin, so, what do you want from me?! ~ Al Yankovic

Here is the other quote:

I guess there's a certain point at which it might be kinda pathetic to see me on stage, being wacky. But, uh, it's...I certainly enjoy it and as long as, um, people aren't completely sick of me, I'll still keep doin' it. ~ Al Yankovic

No Fair! When I went my school dance Which was on Friday the 13th! I asked the DJ if he had any Weird Al. Nooooooooooooooooo....................So then I asked if he could one of my Weird Al cd's. Nooooooooooooooooooooooo....................So then I asked if he at least had the Hamster Dance. Nooooooooooooooooo......................All he had was crap rap and Cotton Eye Joe. I hated that dance. All that people were dancing really dirty and most of them were about 13 or 14, or 15 years old! :oo Man! I wish more people would act better and do better dances. By the way, I am 14 years old and I think I am the only Weird Al fan in my school! GOOD GRIEF! :oo Anyway..... :peace:

It's not wrong to be different, it's wrong to force yourself to conform.

Not really a sighting, perhaps, but this morning on CBS Sunday Morning there was a segment on the FDA food pyramid. The background music while showing a bunch of overweight people? Why, "FAT" of course. Made me smile. :)

Last night I saw Al give a very brief commentary on TV Land's 100 Greatest TV Moments. It was for Elvis on Ed Sullivan at #54. He may be on again, I don't know. Bermuda didn't mention it.

Thanks for the heads up!

According to TV Guide, that specific episode is scheduled to air again at these times (all EST):

12/9 - 9PM
12/10 - 8PM
12/11 - 2PM, 7PM

BUT, remember TV Land is a Viacom network, so you all know what that means.... :?

Ooooo. It would be nice to see some random Alness on Saturday. I shall keep my VCR ready.

Or I could just record it tonight.

It was odd, while seeing that scroll down on the TV guide channel, I thought, "Huh...seems like something Al would comment on."
