That's interesting. It's talking about this Allen guy and then it briefly mentions Al and then it goes back to Allen a bit too suddenly. Oh well, at least he got his name in there. They had something good to say about him.Elvis @ Jun 4 2004, 09:26 PM wrote: Article about Accordion Appreciation Month that mentions Al.

Probably the best time of day to practice the accordion is when your family is gone.
No respect. Not even during National Accordion Awareness Month.

I'm just glad that quote came from Mike Allen's wife and not from the lips of Mrs. Al Yankovic.
"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.

Long live accordions!!
But they should have made National Accordion Awareness Month in October to coincide with our favorite accordion player's birthday!
I was going to say that I'd observe it by listening only to Weird Al songs that have accordion in them...but I don't trust my memory on some songs. Does a list of instruments played on all Al's songs exist anywhere? Probably not, but just thought I'd ask.

Find there an article abut this pageant, and see this amazing photo of an accordion lady with curly hair and glasses that is definitely an Al fan!!!

In case anyone forgot -- yes, I'm resurrecting a 2-year old topic -- it is once again Accordion Awareness Month.
I guess we should ... um ... be more ... aware ... um ... of the ... accordions around us?
The same guy quoted in the Ms Accordion San Francisco pageant is interviewed again for AAM (from today's SF Gate):

Keep polka-ing! And keep an eye out for any accordion music this month ... preferrably a certain WAY album?
