Ummm actually he did.

But umm how long did it take for Al to contact Kurt?

Well, he called Victoria Jackson, who probably had to find Kurt and get him on the phone. That couldn't have taken long.

Yeah, didn't Victoria say Kurt was standing right there when Al called?

So, maybe 30 seconds?

"Hi, Victoria here."
"Hi Vikki, Al here."
"Al?"
"Yankovic."
*silence*
"You know, you were in my movie. We dated. Hello?"
*silence*
"Ah, just put Kurt on the phone!"
"Kurt, it's for you."

I don't think Victoria Jackson would ever be speechless.

I don't know. She seemed kind of shocked in the UHF commentary at the phone call

I don't remember exactly how it went, but didn't Al say he was talking to Dave about SLN during Behind the Music?

(Well not during the actual taping of the show....but you get what I mean)

It is harder for older people to understand what's going on....and younger people for that matter. It was a "You had to be there" moment that lasted 3-7 years.

(BTW, for whoever was wondering in the now locked off topic thread, Krist played the accordion on Jesus Doesn't Want Me For a Sunbeam)

Hey, folks were going off-topic. She had to say something. There's a point in the video for this song, just before Al smashes the guitar. He has this huge grin on his face. It's just so cute! I love the whole video, but I just really love that smile! I really like that quote from Kurt that said how the SLN video was just like the original, but with Al in it. Very cool of him to say that.

This is one of Al's best videos. There's almost as much subtle stuff going on as LAS (which I think is the winner).

So many little things to notice.

We know that with "Gee I'm a Nerd," Al would parody a deceased artist, so is there a chance for another Nirvana parody? There's supposed to be a box set this year with new songs, so if any of them become popular...
