The "vans" Topic

My friend has the same shoes that Al wears on the band pic in Poodle Hat (orange w/ palm trees) only in blue. I think they're the same size and everything! He gets very annoyed when he's trying to tell me something and I point at his feet and squeal loudly.

He should come to a concert. Everyone within sight of his shoes would do that.

That would be a little unnerving...

Well, SSG, Al also wears the blue shoes. He's wearing them in the pic behind the PH cd, and that same pic is at the Mothership. I have those, too. Al also wore those blue shoes when he did Al-TV on VH-1! So tell your friend he has shoes just like Al's! And Cid, I have pronated feet *ankles turn in*, so I put inserts in my Vans. They fit in there perfectly!

Oh yeah! So he does! I will tell him that next time I meet him. Or maybe I'll just point at his feet and squeal loudly. That always seems to get the message accross!

I always wear my Vans to the concerts I go to.

When I wear them to school, I get lots of compliments on them.

Oddly enough, few months ago, someone recognized me who went the same high school as me, but I didn't know. She remembers me as the person who wore strange shoes.

Al told me once he had a couple dozen pairs, but most are falling apart, i now have 75 pairs, yes im addicted, i wear mine at work which is usually 12 hrs, but not during the winter months, yes my feet get cold, they are only canvas, not good with the cold

Same here. My Vans (actually, the same style in question) go on usually for any "formal" event...concert, live comedy, parties, etc. But otherwise I have them boxed up just so I don't get the urge to wear them out too soon.

I definitely plan on expanding my "wardrobe" for next year, either getting one of the Hawaiian styles or if something else eye-catching comes along.

Vans are not exclusively sold by phone or internet. There are Van's stores at some of the nucer malls. Franklin Park Mall in Toledo, OH, has a Van's store, for those of you who may want to know

I have one near me (Arundel Mills Mall, near the Old Navy), but the Al-styled shoes usually have to be ordered.
