World of Weird Al Yankovic

Well, Dave, to keep this on topic, Al used the word penis in a sentence while commenting on the Knack's My Sharona. Part of the True Spin show. Then, the posts about the word itself started coming up. We were just trying to say we didn't really think it was all that bad for Al to say that word. *Well, most of us.*
So, there you have it.

The word doesn't shock me at all. I feel like you do. It's a body part, it's not a bad word and it's not anything to be ashamed of or discussed by . Little 3 year old boys know what their organ is called. its not a big deal...I am however out of the loop on this quote. What show did Al say penis on? I don't have cable so I propbably haven't seen this.

Wasnt this whole thing a myth anyway? Im mean the song was about his girlfriend not about what everybody seems to be talking about a lot lately. Dident Al make another comment I forgot what it was. I think he made a comment on one of the lines in the song. Please say he did that way we can get back to normal and not have all this genital discussion.

You mean OMM being about an old girlfriend? No, it's not a myth. In fact the picture he tears up in the video is supposed to actually be her.

And to keep this even more on topic Dave, the reason why we're discussing Al mentioning that particular body part by name is because one of the rumors surrounding My Sharona is that it's about said body part.

See? There is rhyme and reason to this discussion

SD, the myth Manda was referring to was that My Sharona was about that body part we've been discussing. That is true, that was a myth. The other comment Al made was actually a quote from the song "I always get it up for the touch of the younger kind". Not sure what that myth was *maybe teenage sex?*, but it was Myth #2. My Sharona was about Doug Feiger's girlfriend. That is the True Spin.

Sorry, it's hard to follow the discussion without having seen the program in question. And since I don't have VH1 anymore...

Since I'm so deprived (depraved? J/K) What is "True Spin" like? Do they show videos and then talk about the rumors surrounding it? Is there a panel or just one celeb on it? If someone could please paint a picture for me, It would be much appreciated.
