QUOTE And thanks for mentioning me, too, I think.   :lookround:
-OE, going off to look in the mirror and practice being inhuman for a while.

Okay, maybe inhuman wasn't the proper term; would you settle for a slightly more positive attribute, such as superhuman? Or, uh, would you prefer I simply stop questioning your humanity altogether?

QUOTE I know, but I'm happy that least it came out that clear. It would've been nice that is so clear you could see their faces clearly, but oh well.

I like the repetitive use of the word clear and its variations in that statement. Are you by any chance a member of the Department of Redundancy Department? :P

QUOTE I'm going to save up to buy a digital camera. It would be nice.  :)

You'll have to save into the thousands of dollars if you really want something of high quality. I have a cheap ($200) camera and it produces images equal in distortion to those which you took with a more than likely much less expensive film camera.

QUOTE Oh yeah, was it just me, or did they go quite smoke happy at KC? There were times they had so much smoke on stage, you could barely see Al through it.

Yeah, one really has to wonder just how the heck Al was able to sing or even breath in that without coughing up a lung or two.

Yes, I am. How did you know? ;) They're in alliance with the Lack of Sleep Department too.

Yeah, I was looking at some today. Any nice digital camera that I want is about 500 dollars. Yeah, I have a 80 dollar 35 mm film camera, but it gets expensive with all that developing.

Yeah, you really have to wonder. I was sitting in the front row and coughing at times from all that smoke. I was expecting Al at some point to cough, but he never did. He'll never cease to amaze me.

I’m beginning to suspect that Al is in fact an animatronic product of crazed Disney imagineers that utilizes excess stage smoke to provide the kinetic energy required to rotate his electrical-generation turbines in order to produce the energy on which he runs. :dontgetit:

QUOTE Is it actually smoke, or is it a fog machine.

It is my understanding that smoke rises and possesses a rather smoky odor while fog, being less buoyant than most of the gases present in the atmosphere, sinks and is non-odiferous.

QUOTE I know Steve smokes, so maybe he was just working overtime for the sake of the show.

That noble Steve, sacrificing his very respiratory and bronchial health and well-being for the sole purpose of keeping everyone's favorite accordion-playing automaton functional! :satisfied:

Superhuman is WAY TOO positive for me. Ah, go ahead and question if you want to. Occasional self-examination is good for the soul. :)

Well, before the show I was talking to someone with a green hat on. Then during the opening act, I was sitting with my dad in Orchestra 4, Row A, seat 5, which is definitely off to the very far right. Then I moved up with some friends to the first row, right in front of Al, after the opening act.

I moved a lot.

I was there!!!! I WAS THERE IN KANSAS CITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AL HELD MY HAND DURING ONE MORE MINUTE!!!!!!!!!!

Ok enough of the cap lock..yes it was life alturing. I was there with my cousin and we were wearing Poodle Hats! We were the only people there with Poodle hats! I had a poodle on a Gilligan's Island type hat and my cousin had a pink poodle on a sparklie top hat and my mom had a poodle on a hawaiian print hat. Why don't more people wear poodle hats????

Before the show started the DJ from the radio station 105.1 came up to me and my cousin and said gave us keychains for wearing the hats and looking so cool and then he said he was going to talk about us on his show the next morning, which he did and it was awesome.

We had awesome seats and I got tons of pictures and then when Al sang One More Minute he came off the stage right near me, I didn't get the boxers (even though I offered the girl who got them $200 plus my poodle hat and my Authorized Al book, I have two of them) and I was real close to the girl who got the scarf. But when Al walked next to me he looked right at me and held out his hand and grabbed my hand and held my hand and smiled at my had and looked at me. That moment was the highlight of me entire life. I vowed never to wash my hand again, well I have but I didn't want to. I was so totally hypervenalating I thought I was going to die or something my entire body was just tingling, I couldn't hardly see, I was growing faint because of it. Woah, just think if I would have actually talked to him.

After the show we went up stage and Ruben came out and signed a few things but I wasnt close enough to get one of my Authorized Al books signed and then finally the guard dudes made us move, even though i told him that Ruben said more band memebers would be out but he said I was wrong and I told him that he was and that he really couldn't do anything to make me move...he laughed at me. Aw well so I tried to get in the group of people who were going backstage but I didn't have a pass. Then I thought about running behind the venue to get to Al, but the police people heard me say that and they werent too happy.

I guess I shall never get my Authorized Al book signed, its my goal in life, everyone should have a goal. Butttttttttttttttt......AL TOUCHED ME!!!!!!!!

He held my hand!! I can die almost happy now! He looked at me. I think it was the poodle hat....did I mention that about 6 people came up to me and asked if they could take pictures of me and my cousin with our poodle hats. And lots of people loved them and a ton of people honked at our honk if you love Al sign on our car. And "weird al concert or bust" on the back and "Poodle Hat Tour 2003" with the picture of Al with a poodle hat on the side of the car.

Yeah it was awesome....but arent you all starting to feel like its a tradition for it to rain at the Al concerts in Kansas City? I feel like its more a baptism. An Al concert is like a religious experience only, I'm not bored and falling asleep. Thats my theory.

All in all it was the highlight of my life and I love Al. Did anyone get to meet him there?

QUOTE Hmmmm. Your hypothesis does make a great deal of sense. Al does go to Disneyland a lot (for minor adjustments and maintenance?). And they DO play his music on the Disney Radio Station. Man, this is getting scary!

Well, there you have it. There is no other logical explanation. The great analytical minds of The Sporkman and Squirrelygirl have uncovered the greatest secret in ALl of Yankovician history . . .

I wonder if Suzanne knows about this . . .

 . . . :eh: . . . :sleepy: . . . :nervous: . . . :lookround: . . . . . .

QUOTE Superhuman is WAY TOO positive for me. Ah, go ahead and question if you want to. Occasional self-examination is good for the soul.  :)

Okay, let's see . . . How about . . . subhuman! No, wait . . . That was horrendously negative, wasn't it? Oh, I know! I shall refer to you as sufficiently nonhuman in a positive manner . . . :)

I believe I saw you or one of your mentioned relatives. As to your inquiry pertaining to the reason others weren't adorning poodle-related headwear, I speculate that lack of inventive thought and/or initiative may have been responsible.
