Frankly, I think "Hardware Store" is perhaps the most difficult song ever of Al's for me to properly sing along to. I do recognize the genius of the arrangement, but it's just too gosh-durn fast for me. Also, I feel like there should be one more "real" verse in there somewhere....it just doesn't quite end properly for me. Low joke content hurt it, too.

Ok. Using your criteria I would have placed it there too. Because I still can't sing with it either. Oh, I try, but it's just sad...

It is a very difficult song to sing. I'm not giving you heat, I love the song, but it's hard to sing. It's taken me a while to sing everything else besides that verse clearly. I'm doing pretty well on that one verse, but I'm still tripping over words every time.

Oh, when I said "heat" I didn't mean you guys were being mean about it. I just figured HS would be an unpopular choice for last place. But hey, a lot of people would probably rank GIF last on their list, and I think that's crazy! But when you get right down to it, everyone has their own tastes and opinions and at least we can all agree on one thing: AL ROCKS!



Besides, catch me a few months down the line and HS may be my #1 favorite on the album! Song faves change all the time, depending on mood, I guess.
