Yeah I remeber that reddish or like a moroon bus with just six bunk and a stateroom for al. That reminds me I look and this site busforsale.com and it was selling that same kind of bus, now that I look at the site again its gone, maybe someone bought that bus.[/quote]Dr_Dad wrote:
There was a guy named David Burnette who had pics of the inside of the RWS tour bus on his site. The original location is now down. You can see the site cached on Google here, but alas, the pictures are gone too now. It does list some of the bus' amenities, however, so drool away. I might have saved a copy of that page on my hard drive on the upstairs puter, though. I'll see if I can find it -- that is, if there's an interest in seeing it.

I did a lot of research on renting a bus for myself (and some friends) for a 1 or 2 week period to follow the tour. The most common configuration I've seen has 12 bunks (3 high) with a lounge in the back and in the front.
These things will sleep from 1 to 18 people. The bunks have their own HVAC and satellite TV. From what I've heard, you don't want to use the toilet on the bus. The Dixie Chicks make the driver pull over if anybody needs to "go".
Last tour, Al leased at least one of his busses from Hemphill brothers. They were one of the companies that I phoned about renting a bus and were the only rude people I've spoken to. The women said, "Why would I rent a bus to you when I could rent to Britney?"
But they have a nice web site. Al had the "Star Bus" with the stateroom (including shower!) in the back, 6 bunks and a lounge in the front.

Oh, on Dave the bus driver's web site, Dave said that the bus was previously used by Cher. I submitted a question about it to ASK AL, and suddenly he was using another coach. Coincidence?

The thing about tour busses bathrooms, or any motor home bathroom is... you don't 'do your doodie' in them. If you do, when you move.... You get a potent smell that wafts through the whole place. There's chemicals that are used to stop that evil smell. My family likes "camping" (though its not really camping with our 'camper.')
not one of the funnest things to learn...
