I sincerely hope any new songs performed on the next tour are not on the new album. Having thewhe album heard before it comesout ruins it for me. I think if we get an album for thansgiving I'll be happy. He can tour this year as the essential tour and next as album 13. And theycan be totally different set lists since they would be seperate tours

I guarantee getting those off eBay will be cheaper than the VIP package.

If this is in fact a tour for The Essential "Weird Al" Yankovic, is it possible that the featured polka will be "Polkas on 45"?

Anything's possible, but my guess is that unless album #13 is in the can before the tour starts, Al will refrain from even doing a polka.

Why? Because that's what he did when he played the OC Fair in 2002. No polka. And the setlist was, otherwise, very similar to the Poodle Hat tour the next year: he played Melanie, Dog Eat Dog, Horoscope, and even a sneak preview of Party At The Leper Colony.

Since he's touring in 2010, my guess is he'll also tour in 2011. And odds are, the album WILL be out by the 2011 tour, so he'll probably keep the setlists pretty similar. And since five twelfths of album #13 are already out, and two more songs have been recorded, he won't even add/switch THAT many new songs for the 2011 tour.

He'll probably have "CNR" and at least one other "Leak" on the 2010 tour and maybe WYL will be shoved in the medely somewhere (possibly with more "sneak previews" of at least two lesser parodies from Album 13 if it's not out by then.) I think a good title for this one would be The Essential Leaks Tour.

Wait a minute, are you guys saying tha Al might go on a completely seperate tour from this one in 2011? (because I don't see him making chnges to the set-list on the second leg of the same to...oh wait, I forgot about Headline News...never mind...but at least he might want to change the name of the tour to something relating to the next album's title...)
