I mean I hear the similarities, but other than the intro riff there is no similarity to Pork & Beans or any other Weezer song for that matter. 95% of this song sounds like a style parody of Fountains of Wayne.
I couldn't tell a dirt clod from a plate of caviar.

Really? Not even the "hey-heys" that are smilar to the "pep-peps" in Skipper Dan? Interesting. We'll see if Al will tell us more in chat on Thursday.
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

He's doing another chat??? COOL!

I LOOOOOOVE THIS SONG. SO catchy, can't get it out of my head, and another one to add to the list of "feel-good Al songs" apart from TSB. I'll have it on my PSP by the end of the day. (It is kinda depressing, but that's what makes it funny!)
Janet! Dr. Scott! Janet! Brad! Rocky! (BULLWINKLE!)

Hellooooooooooooooo, Nurse!

Really good song imho. Song keeps in my head and love to play it over and over again. I think it really shows how amazingly brilliant Weird Al actually is. This song is technically just perfect and ofcourse, I like backing vocals in music (one of the reasons why I like Brian Wilson and the Beach Boys).

Dipped into the Myspace sludge again (where, BTW, Ludo and Patti are working heroically to raise the level of discourse) and found this gem (like finding a diamond ring that's been dropped down the garbage disposal)
This. . . Is a great song. Its an honest reflection of the human condition for most of my generation. Fuggin awesome. He's actually growing as an artist, and its refreshing because most artists take a nose dive after their 'peak'.
"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.

I saw that one as well (and Thanks Helen)
It seems the people who *actually care* are mostly positive The others just play follow my leader from video to video.. some appear to not even know who Al is (unfortunately possibly British! LOL)

Aww, well, thanks for the nice comment. Just telling the truth, and maybe opening a few eyes a little wider, so people really think before they post. Maybe.

Damn I was late to the show because I had a meeting with the landlord, DOH! First thing I thought watching the video is: "Did he really get permission from Disney?" Excellent video. It takes me back to high school... My Freshman History teach used to be a skipper and would tell the jokes frequently. An there was one amusing anecdote where he one went skinny dipping in the river before the park opened and one of his coworkers ran away with his outfit...

good song... off to listen again.

Why would he need permission from Disney?. He's certainly not accusing Disney of anything other than not entirely fulfilling one (fictional) persons probably unrealistic ambitions.

I sent this to a friend of mine who works @ DisneyWorld and she LOVED it and all the feedback from current and former "cast members" seems overwhelmingly positive and complimentary
