Hey Dingo - just curious if the NH date is close enough to where you live that you might get to see Al this summer.

Probably not. I just got an e-mail from the concert pre order page with the a graphic for The Essential Weird Al Yankovic. Looks like this is a tour for that.

Okay, no more rumors... it's time to OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCE the WEIRD AL SUMMER 2010 TOUR!

Al has been saying from the start of all of this that he's more concerned about getting the tour started on time (this summer) than getting the new album out... to avoid what happened before with You're Pitiful causing the tour to be delayed by a whole year. So, maybe, maybe not.

An "Essential" tour would be cool. No doubt Al will include some IL songs and maybe even some new "concert only" (for now) numbers, in anticipation of #13.

Would be interesting, although too exciting so I would hope he'd include something surprising if that's the case.

Consider how nice the title "The Essential Tour" sounds.
