I only just stumbled across the cover art today, and I was pretty surprised at how basic it was. I was expecting something a bit more abstract. That said, I do like it. The picture is cute, the whole design is simple and direct. But mostly I was just really happy to finally know what the DVD will look like

Wow. The cover art is... not good. Looks like something someone who burned the episodes to a DVD and decided to sell a homemade DVD on eBay would make.
Ah well, cover art isn't everything. The DVD will be excellent.

LOL!
Ok, I admit, it looks kind of silly and amateurish, but it really reminds me of what I would expect out of the Weird Al show. Anybody remember the Weird Al show opening clip? This cover definitely brings back memories of that intro. For those old fans of the show (and not neccesarily the song fanatics), they will see this cover and they will notice what it is from without even reading the title. But the other audience is us hard core fans who will buy it out of love for Al and his awesome creations. And who knows, this could just be more of a teaser than the actual cover (I suppose), and he may in fact make a cooler one! I am just friggin happy to finally get to see it again after that many year gap without seeing the show (ah...WAY back then!) Lol.

I agree with those that aren't crazy about the cover art. It really seems to lack creativity. I don't mind, but it looks like it was thrown together very quickly. I really think Greg's fake covers on his site are much better.

Something minor I discovered today. But first, a quote....

I just assumed the cover would be that famous promo shot of him on the eyeball chair
Believe it or not, but that
is from the eyeball chair picture! It's a really, really tight close-up, and then of course mirrored. Plus, they airbrushed away the glare from Al's glasses.

Oh, yeah, Greg's right! Neat. I can't wait for it, though!

I know it's from the eyeball chair picture. I just meant the full zoomed out picture that included the eyeball chair too. And not have Al's head cut in half and glued together at the ears.

Wow, the cover art is kind of cool but it looks pretty homemade...
Maybe it is. Maybe our boy dusted off the old Photoshop Program and whipped up the cover. That'd be pretty cool.
You know what? I'd love the cover no matter what pic of Al it had on it. Hey, it's TWAS! Haven't we been whining for it to come out on DVD for ages?
Do we know the release date? Sorry if this is info everyone has, I just haven't been online very much lately. And since I'm trying to be spoiler free, I haven't been able to indulge my favorite WAY surfing either.

The dvd is supposedly coming out on August 15th. Minnick mentioned it earlier in this thread. Pretty exciting stuff!
