I just came up with this one now:
"Weird Al" Yankovic to me
Stereo's loud and blasting,
DVD player playing Al broadcasting.
His spell is casting,
I can feel him forever lasting.
Surfing the WOWAY forum day and night,
Look at it 24/7 I might.
Drooling topic and blather's my fav,
Whenever Al Yankovic I crave.
Al always in my mind,
27's I will try hard to find.
Any reference to Al I save,
I'll remember them all to my grave.
A nerd and geek the kids at school say,
Sing his songs in front of them I may.
While I run the music rings in my head,
Listen to it before I go to bed.
Those bus wheels turning,
My MP3 player's headphones burning.
Listen to him all the time,
Even while my friends and family whine.
Turn it off they all say,
I'll listen to him 'til I'm old and gray.
Dare to be stupid I always do,
Do not doubt me I'm being true.
An Al-Gal I will always be,
I've been listening to Al can't you see?
Wow, my 13-year-old mind has a lot bottled up.

I just thought of that too!
Weird Al Yankovic
Fits so well into haikus
More uses for him!

Awww. That's so nice of you to say kaztaylor. I don't know about best... maybe the Supreme Lord of All Things Poetry-Like! I'm just playing, I just love poetry, and Al. I guess when I combined them, it made a super poem, or something. Anyway, thanks for the compliment and the welcome.kaztaylor @ Feb 24 2007, 11:22 PM wrote: Welcome to the poetry topic, Melissa...that was a nice poem. I'll bet you're the most talented poet in your school.![]()
