Yankomaniac wrote:I would say neither is better since they both rule. On Steve's side you will be by his cab and it is loooud, because he loves it loud. You may have issues hearing Jim a lot more on Steve's side but you also get Steve who is as entertaining as Al and a better view of Ruben too. On Jim's side the sound is always a bit more even because no matter where you are you will hear Steve just fine but Jim much better from his side, and you probably won't have Bermuda's face shielded from his crash symbol which could happen from either side. There is a considerable difference but you will be happy either way, further back will be better for the full band sound but personally I love Steve's side, just never get tired of watching him slap the bass and sing back up. Jim should be a little louder but he plays lighter sometimes when using his nails or even with a pick because if he doesn't he'll painfully break one of them well grown nails! Hope this helps a bit :D HAVE FUN
Thanks for the insight. We will be on Jim's side for our show. More towards the backs because the closer seats were to expensive. I'm thrilled we got the aisle so we may get a good view of Mr. Yankovic for his Tacky entrance. So, excited no matter where we are going to be. We will be taking up part of row EE. I think it's great that the Ceterns share their wisdom with us little people. :P

I have an extra set of trading cards that come with the Mandatory Czar package and I am going to sell them, if interested P.M me, they are pretty damn sweet. They cover the whole career in order from Another One Rides the Bus to Mandatory Fun and have some pretty killer photos I have not seen before. Comes in a nice plastic AL case and still in bubble wrap. Nice collectors item, if you don't have them and aren't going to be getting the Czar package and are interested I will ship them to you. Again, very awesome set of cards, I was pretty impressed! All cards also contain an AL fact, some of which I knew, a lot of which were quite informative and very much worth knowing. :peace:

Has anyone been keeping track of setlist aberrations during this tour? Which songs have been dropped when he has to do a shorter set? Is Wanna B Ur Lovr always dropped at standing room shows? Has any show started with something aside from Tacky??

The show in Biloxi was GA/standing. WBUL was cut from the set, but he did open with Tacky. Barricades were set up to keep the crowd a few feet back from the stage, and he came in from the casino through a side entrance and walked along the barricades.

At the second show I saw here at the Bluesfest they had an hour and a half and dropped Tacky (opened with the polka) so they dropped Lame Claim, Foil, First World Problems, Lovr and The Saga Begins which was the only one I was surprised they dropped. Still did Dare To Be Stupid at that one so I was happy.

If they don't do First World Problems in Del Mar I will scream. If they DO do First World Problems in Del Mar I will scream but in a happy way.

It would be kinda odd to not have Tacky start the show at this point. As long as Lame Claim to Fame doesn't start the show, I'm fine. :ph34r: He didn't do WBUL at the SRO show in Boulder, CO either, so that's not promising. At least we should have First World Problems, which is just as good. :lookaround: I'm so nervous now. Will the Del Mar show even be a full set when it's $6 a ticket??

All I have to say is that if Al doesn't come riding in on a horse for Tacky, that's a huge missed opportunity.

Hrm. The guy who's gonna try and pick me up a shirt will be at the Del Mar concert. Hope they still gotta merch table >_>;;

Have they ever added, or swapped out songs in turn of dropping any?
As far as Lame Claim to Fame goes, they can leave it out for all the shows :') (I really don't like it. It's too similar in style to FWP, which is the superior song of the two).

Set stays the same. Will only drop stuff for time constraints and if they drop Tacky, they drop Lame Claim too because they have to start with the Polka in that case, just how it is. Lovr is always cut if he cannot walk into the audience from the stage.

I was gonna offer to get you the shirt but was worried the Del Mar concert might not have a merch table! I hope it does, for your sake! :accordion:
