You mean that 13:21 long video that has a part of a first chorus of "Foil"? For me it sounds like the same pitch, if not higher. Only the guys are singing back vocals the whole octave lower, and not very well I dare say  . Al also sounder a bit worse than in most of other songs...

Funny you guys should mention this, there is now a full length clip of Foil up on YouTube from Al's recent show in Illinois.

I don't think it sounds awful. I think it could use a bit of work, which it will over the course of the next couple months, but overall, I personally think it sounds pretty good. I remember PITCIA wasn't very good live for a little while, but then he got the hang of it. I am sure that Foil will be the same way.

Its just right now it sounds like one of those cover song videos were the singer doesn't know what melody he wants to use foe the entire song... I'm sure it'll get better as well

If al sings the more pronounced higher melodys while the band sticks to the lower ones it'll sound better.. way better than all of them on the lower melodies

I don't think it sounded horrible, and I don't have a problem with how Al sang it. It wasn't perfect, but it sounded fine to me. The harmonies could use a bit of work, but I'm sure those will improve with practice.

Could it be a lack of sound engineering or an effect they used in a record? Al is singing his part correctly, it's not out of his range or anything, but it sounds plain and lacks that epic vibe a record has. The guys harmonizing really needs some improvement, but I'm sure it's a question of time :)

What's weird about it to me is that al is singing the lower harmonies with the band and throwing some random high melodies here and there.. it just sounds out of whack

In my opinion he's singing his normal main melody, I don't know what you're hearing. The guys (or at least one of them) sound a bit out of tune, but when I sing along the back vocals and I don't hear them that well, it all sounds perfect to me  , except that lack of epicness I mentioned.

Yes lack of epicness... what I'm hearing is al not singing the higher notes.. so it makes the song sound weird
