Well, no, because Lady Gaga uses male dancers. I don't really see what the problem is with male dancers. I'l just say again that I'm looking forward to seeing the final product, male dancers and all.
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:
"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11
So awesome!

Nah, I have to say that male dancers were more appropriate since he is parodying Gaga. It's just unfortunate that he couldn't have gotten both dancers from the video.
Even with them, the finished product will still look good. I have my trust in the awesome production people.

We've had a couple of "meh" reviews of this show (which I blame on the too-cool-for-the-room reviewers more than anything, since the Twitter response seemed really enthusiastic) so I'm pleased to report that I found a really positive one.

Fred - Good point.
Helen, thanks for posting that. Nice review!
The only error I see is that the time listed for the second show. Should have said 8 pm instead of 6 pm.

Yeah, the passport thing could have been it. There really wasn't much notice for this show, nearly just a month before. And I know that I had such a hard time getting a passport. Literally not having one until the day of the Buffalo show. So, I guess that could have been it.
Haha, speaking of wrong times for the 2nd show, my ticket envelope from the Will Call window had 7PM written on it.

I dont know how much promotion they did around Toronto for this but yeah if they announced it leaving us like 4 months to prepare they would have filled the place without any problems, I think.
What a racket they're makin', Jack, they keep me up at night playin' their electric guitars!!

Hi folks! I attended the 3pm show. I have to say, it was my first Al concert in a long time, but Al and the band seemed flawless to me! Al nailed the high notes, low notes and everything in between with ease, and his moves on stage (and offstage for WBUL) are like magic to me... he's such a charismatic ball of energy!! I'm still on a post-Al high.
I was sitting on Jim's side for the show (by crazy coincidence, right next to Yankomaniac!) Highlights for me were Canadian Idiot (obvious reasons), You Don't Love Me Anymore (a personal fave of mine... it's when he performed this on the first Al-Music special that I first realized how cute he was!), Wanna Be Ur Lovr and Craigslist (obvious reasons), White & Nerdy (another personal fave of mine, which I'd never seen live before) and Perform This Way. Of course, I laughed my way through all the video clips... those mock interviews just never get old!! And those references to Al from various TV shows always make me feel so proud to be an Al fan. And proud of Al himself for all his success.
I brought my husband to the show, who isn't an Al fan, but I really wanted to give him the live Al concert experience. He had fun, but after the show, he was ready to leave, so we left. He really only had it in him to see one show and take off afterward (we came in from another town). Anyway, I'm glad I got to show him what all my fussing over Al is about, but now that that's been done, for future (and in general), I prefer going with other Al fans and doing meet & greets and all that other fun stuff!!
A few people on here might remember me... I haven't posted publicly for years... like, YEARS... but back in the day... the alt.music.weird-al days... and #weird-al on irc... wow, I'm so old. I might do an introduction on the introduction thread or something. Anyway, the Toronto concert rocked. Hope Al comes back to Ontario soon!!!
Speaking of which, are there any rumors of any more tour dates in Canada? As everyone else pointed out, this one just kind of snuck up! If I had found out about it earlier than I did, I would have gotten a better seat. As it was, I missed seeing dear Bermuda -- he was there drumming alright, but his head was completely obstructed by a cymbal! I have a feeling I missed out on some great wigs...

Found three videos from one of the Stormtrooper 501 people. Two are rehearsal videos and One is from on-stage during their performance at the 8PM show.
They're all on this YouTube account. http://www.youtube.com/user/Garydjc" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Hey Halifaxkat, awesome reveiw. It was awesome sitting next to someone who was enjoying the show as much as me and it was greating meeting and talking with you. Glad you had an awesome time! Yeah that was the only problem with those seats, Jon's face was blocked but we could see his drumming perfectly. Amazing view of Jim though!
