You can't start thinking that just yet... that's only a fraction of the tour stops!

I sent emails to three local theaters asking if they would consider booking Al during the summer tour. *crosses fingers*

Over a month ago I emailed 6 local venues, including the one he last appeared at in this area back in 2008. That venue (in Gilford, NH) is one of the tour dates that Al just posted. They had responded right away saying they were looking into bringing Al back, but couldn't confirm it at that time.

Four of the other venues that I emailed have had Al perform there in the past, but not since Poodle Hat or before. I never heard back from those 4 venues. <_<

The 6th venue (where Al has never performed) recently booked Lisa Lampanelli for a comedy show. I suggested that they should bring Al there for a more "family-friendly" musical comedy show. I received a reply saying that they were definitely interested and would "look into it." Unfortunately, that venue is only 45 minutes away from the Gilford, NH venue that Al has already booked, so he probably won't come there this year. :(

Al came to the OC Fair and the Mission Viejo Lake in the same year... about 20-25 minutes apart!

Yes, but here in NH we have a MUCH smaller population than California. In Southern California, I'm sure he can draw a lot more fans to a concert than he can around here. The OC Fair attracts tons of people every day anyway, so I'm sure it's pretty easy to fill those seats.

I heard that the last time he came to NH (Gilford in 2008), the venue wasn't full. If he came to 2 venues that close to each other in NH, it is possible that both venues would get less ticket buyers. Personally, I would go to BOTH concerts, but I think most people would choose one or the other.
