Do you think that the Album 13 booklet will be like SOL's, but instead of a picture of Al for each song, have the original single art from iTunes? Or will they have the single art anywhere in the album?
Will he do this song live? With what costume?

This sounds like a medley song.

This song was pretty good. My Al-hating brother heard me listening to it, and said "God! he ruined my favorite

song!" and I said "no, he enhanced it"

I had never heard the original song before this week (looked it up on youtube when I heard what the parody would be of). The song itself isn't really that good...and I think the parody is quite a bit better than the original.
It's not bad though...definitely worth my 99 cents (first song download I've ever bought on iTunes).
You speak for me. I'm a newcomer to both TI and to iTunes. Only Al could make me do it.

Take it as a survivor's anthem, and toast one another with a can of store-brand cola!
Absolutely. The more humor in a tough situation, the better. Thanks, Al!
Cutting is good. I have to say, on first listening, I felt this song could stand to be
more cutting. I like it when Al gets edgy, and I appreciate sharp, political humor. As it stands, the song is more cute than an anthem for suffering America-- which saddens me, because it would be nice for it to take off among the activists who are working so hard this election. I'm not sure it has the teeth to do that, although I'd love to be proven wrong.
I think the main weakness is what has been mentioned before: the original song is so uninteresting and unimaginative in its arrangement, it gives Al very little to work with musically. That said, I do think he improved it. But Al can do such lovely orchestrations and harmonies, a simple chant like this is really beneath his abilities.

After listening to the song over 100 times, all I can say is "I SMURFING LOVE THIS SONG!!"
I mean, I don't like the beginning spoken part, but other than that, the song is great! I don't understand why people are so down on it.
If people are unhappy with this, and Al could do better, that's awesome! I can't wait to hear what else Al has up his sleeve.
My wallet's fat and loaded with ones.. It's all about the Washingtons!

This seems to be the favorite, most oft-quoted line.

I personally prefer:
I can take you to the laundromat downtown
And watch all the clothes go round and round
