I can't get over how great Al sounded. And the band ... What can I say, I wish they had let him write the song and let them do a full length one at that.

I got the episode, but I didna see the end part, was it good? I did get to see the promo fo Mr Peronality hosted by Monica Lewinsky, I cant wait!!!!

Thanks for the lyrics-- when I saw Al I was stunned/enthralled for about 10 secs (about the length of the first part, lol) and I couldn't find a pen. By the credits I had pen and paper ready but only got half of it.

BTW, in case anyone finds it interested one of two gay people was played Scott Thompson who was on the HILLARIOUS candaianc sketch comedy show of the Kids in the Hall and very very very openly gay.

Yeah I liked KITH quite a bit myself and for that reason it was amusing to get Scott Thompson AND AL in one episode. However, I must agree with the vast majority of the posters that it was not the best episode. If not for Al, possibly one of the worst Simpsons. (and I had no problems with the subject material at all... just not that funny for the first 25 minutes)

I think it was already said on here, but I was quite relieved that Fox didn't go into promos under the credits, which is of course the unfortunate norm now for network television.



I don't know about anyone else, but syndication is even worse. My local station thinks they need their own "hip" group of jerks doing unfunny bits around town to drown out the credits. All you see is this little postage stamp-sized square of the show, which is aggravating if something is actually GOING ON during the credits.



So, everyone will have one more guaranteed chance to catch it on Fox this season, after which it's going into the syndicated "no man's land" before eventually ending up on DVD or Blu-Ray or Implantovision.

Without Al, I probably would've been embarrassed about that episode. I'm not homophobic, but there was something so unsettling about Homer doing a semi strip tease in that club. It just didn't feel like The Simpsons, and I really do think it was because of the main story of that episode. They already handled the gay issue a few years ago, and I thought they handled it very well. They didn't need to bring it back up and they certainly didn't need to give Homer a homo-erotic experience.

Again, I'm not homophobic, but The Simpsons, in my opinion, shouldn't try to go after topics that are even today still that controversial. It's a comedy, one a family can enjoy, and I really don't think that particular episode was too "family friendly". But that's only my opinion.



Of course, Al was awesome...

please pardon my stupidity, but what is Blu-Ray or Implantovision?
