When he did the interview with Dr. D, he never said he sped that up. He just said that he used Protools to make it sound better. He may not have sung that whole section in one take, so he used Protools to piece it together, I think. He explained how one could bring a word or note closer to where one would like it to be, but I don't think he said he actually did that. I'll have to listen again. I just don't remember hearing him say he sped that section up.
