I don't see how having questions ready before the chat would make it any less personal. It's personal enough that he's doing the chats, and to have them be more insightful would only make things better.
Definitely an OK chat, but yeah...all the good questions were buried by the stupid ones. Even do a pre-recorded chat and post it, would be better than that live thing. Would have less technical problems, as well.
My favorite part was just that he enjoyed the movie Up, and I definitely agree with him on that.

I thought that it was really cool overall that he was doing a live chat. I agree with most on the subject of questions, there needed to be more good ones, but the stupid ones were still kind of interesting.
"Also, I'm not a fourteen year old GIRL" was the best part. ...I think. Except..um..you know, FOURTEEN YEAR OLD GIRLS...acknowledge the utter badness of Twilight...SOMETIMES..
Gragrgghh. Generalizations.

QUOTE (Insert Coin(s) to Continue @ June 17, 2009 01:42 am) This news is hopping around the Rock Band forums. One of the Harmonix developers said "This will be the first e-mail I send when I get into the office tomorrow", in regards to Al being in Rock Band. So it looks like the devs are going to pursue this. We'll see if it all goes through.

Yeah, I just came across and read through this 18 page topic. I frequent that forum quite a bit, and this is one of the few threads where just about every single post is POSITIVE.
And it was very cool to see HMXHenry so on board with the idea.
I know I would LOVE to have Weird Al in Rock Band.

@alyankovic Is Skipper Dan a style parody of anyone or simply an original song? #weirdal
@alyankovic Can you explain why people in other countries aren't allowed to watch your videos on the internet? #weirdal
@alyankovic Do you feel that your sense of humour is a lot different to how it was when you started out? #weirdal
@alyankovic You now have MIDI accordions, will we be hearing a lot of the special FX on the next album? #weirdal
@alyankovic Do you often (or ever) have artistic differences of opinion with the band during the creative process or recording, or do they just do what they are told? #weirdal
@alyankovic Was it hard learning to deal with harsh criticism, or have you always been pretty ok with that? Has criticism ever made you feel like giving up? #weirdal

I can answer that for you: Al has no say in it personally.

You know, about half the videos Al has on his myspace aren't even available for U.S. citizens to watch! That is rather odd.
