I'm gonna make a prediction here...this song will be about the "Anything Goes" section on CraigsList and the line is "We shared a quick laugh...". And Al (or the narrator, however you want to look at it), will realize the person he found is not who he expected. (Think of this song by Stephen Lynch.)

Al will eventually do that, mark my words.
As for me- I just found more satisfaction determining one word from a 30 second clip. Its another word confirmed. A minuscule, irrelevant, but confirmed spoiler. And somehow, that interested me more than something typical like guessing a theme.

But oh what the hey...I'll try speculating.
Al must know that he can't just write an eBay II. I get this vibe there's a deeper sense of storytelling which is further evidence by "laugh". This won't be a list song, I'm confident in that.

Double Edit: Just to avoid confusion- I started editing before you posted Jon, in case you ask.

The whole point of this forum is to analyze the works of Weird Al. I don't see why it's a bad thing, or even if we are being overanalytical to discuss what the lyrics to a song are.

Fat 2 = Grapefruit Diet
Melanie 2 = Do I Creep You Out
Plus all the countless songs where the premise is "list a bunch of TV shows"

Don't be so sure...

I stand firmly corrected.
Although I'm tempted to argue against Grapefruit Diet since it takes a very different direction. There's a sense of "fat and proud" displayed by the narrator in Fat and then it turns into a need for Grapefruit Diet's narrator to truly better himself rather than accept his obesity.
Grapefruit Diet is a spiritual sequel to Fat...but its a good one.

One can hope that Craigslist could be that sort of sequel to eBay.

I think he probably meant that "Fat" and "Grapefruit Diet" are both basically a laundry list of fat jokes. ("I got more Chins than Chinatown", "I got more rolls than a pastry truck", etc.)

I can't seem to find the preview anywhere, and when I search for the song on amazon it appears that it doesn't exist.

It was removed from Amazon a few days ago.
