I'm buying it because it has Steve's name on it

(not to mention the rest of the band). I regularly buy band members' solo work and I'm a big fan of their stuff. Not everyone's going to like Steve's style or Jim's guitar works. I love their CDs but, that's me.

And me too Ena...These people enrich my life immeasurably on a daily basis and this is just another little piece of happiness to hold on to

Just to put my two cents worth of thought into it (yes, I have read the lyrics and listened to the sample).
Personally, simply because it's by the guys I find myself wanting it. I'm a huge fan of them and love the fact that they're doing stuff!
I will have to admit (please, no one shoot me) I was hoping they would tell some stuff that we didn't know about them. I mean, obviously we already know just about everything, but I was hoping for something I hadn't heard (ie: Jim being left behind during the Poodle Hat tour

) You know, fun stuff like that. But I would have to agree with Patti and Louise: it's a fun song! It's not meant to be a hit, it's not meant to be like Al or competing with Al for that matter. I think it's great that they're doing something together
So there you have it! The official Olivia view of this matter.

You guys are eating it up because it's Al-related and everything Al-related has to be amazing, right? Al's Band can make 100 of these songs and you guys will buy every one of them.
I'm fine with everyone's opinion about the song, but Jace, if this is what you really think of us, you could have kept it to yourself. It was an insulting, uncalled-for shot. Hopefully you'll learn that most of the time, things like that are better left unsaid.

I agree with Jace, though. The song wasn't that good. It was fun and being a fan of Al and Al's Band, it was worth getting the song, but outside of the existing fandom, the song is not much better than taking some random music and slapping lyrics to.
And I've already stated before that the fans can be very rabid. It's scary.

Well, yes, fans can be rabid, but no, it doesn't mean all of them are, nor do all of them buy every single thing Al or anyone who associates with him does just to have it. I just didn't like the generalization. I'm fine with stating an opinion, just don't bash everyone else while you're doing it.

Well I just had a listen to the new song and I liked it. I think the boys voices blended together wonderfully and the whole song had a kind of folksie feel to it that I really love.
I like the idea of playing this in concert between Al costum changes! That would be great!

It's ok to love the song or hate it, but please people, let's not get into an argument over semantics here. Just let it go.
I haven't listened yet since someone mentioned that more was on the way, and you know me, I like my physical CDs, so I'll either wait for the full-length disc or give it a listen if it's put up on Myspace or YouTube.

Woot! I finally got a chance to listen to the song. And I have to admit I find it kinda... trippy on a first listening. If you know what I mean.
I have to agree with everyone who said it's kinda hard to understand the lyrics, though.
Also, I still can't believe I actually bought the song.

Yay! Congrats on getting the song, Alejandra!
