I noticed in the paper that James Blunt was also playing that night. For $15 in a tiny club, while Al was playing the Beacon for $75. I thought it was perfect justice for Al, like that picture on weirdal.com where Bad Hair Day is outselling Coolio's album.

It's funny because it's true! :F

I'm fine with alcohol at the shows. As long as it's responsible. Every once in a while I like to have a beer or something while seeing the show with friends. Most of the time I don't, but I don't see a problem if others want to. In my experience, the audiences response is pretty enthusiatic when responsible drinking is allowed. Also in my experience it's pretty rare that I see people abuse it at an Al show, and if so, security is generally pretty quick to diffuse the situation. :Y

I don't really hae much to add about this show. Mostly everything's been said. I did want to say that after almost 4 years, Al touched my poodle. I've been waiting for the guys to come to NYC so I could have the dog with me. I'm such a dork.

I also wanted to thank Nancy for coming up to my friends and I with her petition. I tried to sign someone elses, but he just ignored us, whispered something to someone else, and walked away to stand in a different location. :? >:S Uummm, ok, whatever. I didn't know that people would pick and choose who signs their petition, and I wanted my friends to sign it.

Also, thank you to Vicki. If it wasn't for you, Al never would have met the poodle.

She's very pretty with the pink ribbons. And, I love Al's shirt. Any idea what Al is carrying?

Wow, James Blunt should've shown up for Al.. As far as the alcohol goes, I was just speaking from experience, from shows I went to, as well as shows I've performed at *except the last one a month ago* I saw people abusing it left and right. I'm glad that there are responsible people, but really, some people should know when to say when.

Edit: By the way, Dave, can you please send me the group photo that was taken before we went in?

Rich, that video is really dark on my monitor, so I can't see anything. I love Rachael's picture, though.

I don't know why that video came out so dark. It wasn't quite that dark on the card. it was 12:30 at night though. LOL Nina was sooo cute, cocking her head at the sound of her daddy's voice! :)

I really need a new monitor, though. Everything shows up really dark, and the brightness is turned all the way up. Argh!
