I noticed in the paper that James Blunt was also playing that night. For $15 in a tiny club, while Al was playing the Beacon for $75. I thought it was perfect justice for Al, like that picture on weirdal.com where Bad Hair Day is outselling Coolio's album.weird_el @ Sep 21 2007, 01:14 PM wrote: Jimmy Buffet and Al playing NYC the same night...

I'm fine with alcohol at the shows. As long as it's responsible. Every once in a while I like to have a beer or something while seeing the show with friends. Most of the time I don't, but I don't see a problem if others want to. In my experience, the audiences response is pretty enthusiatic when responsible drinking is allowed. Also in my experience it's pretty rare that I see people abuse it at an Al show, and if so, security is generally pretty quick to diffuse the situation.
