QUOTE Darn that Mama Bear.  She just pops out whether I want her to or not...

Don't worry about it. Just remember that if someone comes on here just to bash Al, they would make it a little more clear.....idiots tend to be very vocal.

QUOTE QUOTE Now the big question is, any chance the song will turn up on any kind of silvery five-inch electronic plate?

I wondered that too. But if Al didn't write it, probably not.

Well, weren't we hinted at something on a certain album that would be going against the norm? A parody written by someone else would seem to fit that.....

QUOTE Though, as I think El said, perhaps on the big screen between costume changes?

There could be the "Fox Animation Block" costume change segment....Simpsons, King of the Hill, and Futurama.

And then WhiZZi would give him, her, it or them the boot.

Have I mentioned how grateful I am for WhiZZi? :inlove:

QUOTE I enjoyed it very much  :D  I was wondering- Could someone make some screen captures and post them somewhere? That would be cool......

[quote]Well you'd better, the whole message board is counting on you[/quotNo pressure though :P

I loved the episode, My boyfriends 14 year old son was complaining that Al's appearance was too short...but then the credits came on and he was relieved. I got it on video...but unfortunately my reception was bad (no cable...darn it). There are lots of wavey lines through it. But it clear enough to see what was going on. YippIe Skippie!

Worst. . . episode. . . . ever

Post by Phillipemoz »

I'm sorry, but even the great Weird Al could not save this episode. I really wish they had put Al in a better episode, because I don't want him associated with this one. I mean, nothing against homosexuals, but I don't think it's funny. Even gay rights people don't want you laughing at them. And the subject matter was already dealt with a long time ago in 'Homer's Phobia', a much better episode.

That being said, it was a great appearance by Al, albeit too short. (Although I'm glad he wasn't one of the main charachters in this one, if you catch my drift)

I've been reading some of the Simpsons message boards, and some people are saying Al's appearance was 'pointless.' Well Al's appearance was the only good thing about this episode, in my opinion.

I don't mean to offend anyone who liked this episode, I'm just saying what I think.

Lyrics to Al's song

Post by Phillipemoz »

Here are the lyrics I wrote down after watching the episode

A little dittie about Homer and Marge

her heart was as big as his stomach was large

Oh yea they say love goes on

long after the grilled cheeze sandwich is gone

(part 2)

That's the story about Homer and Marge

Two folks I helped out for a nominal charge

After Homer went gay they patched up their schizm

but the dude never delt with his alchoholism

Oh yea the credits go on

long after the viewer's interest is gone

Oh yea, Weird Al had fun on this show

even if it was just a brief cameo

I loved Al's cameo with the rest of the band. It was quite polkariffic.

I know the plot wasn't dependent on Al's appearance, but not many celebrities cameos are dependent on the plot.

Like Leonard Nimoy. Wow. I still remember that one.
