I wonder what he ended up renaming it. I might have to utilize a certain question-asking web form.

That's right, I'm gonna Ask Jeeves!

It's also something to add to the 27 list. Very cool find!

Actually, I saw it on the 27 list so I googled it. That's the only relevant result I could find besides the link right back to the 27 list.
Oh, and Greg, I already asked Al. The more the better, I guess. :)

I think I'd heard that Al was a part owner of a horse. It rings a bell for some reason. But I have a question. When was Al's record company called "Attic Records?"

And what's the purpose of investing in a racehorse if you don't keep any of the earnings?

Attic was a Canadian thing...."Attic/Zomba" was his listed record label when they showed his videos on MuchMusic.
You have quickly thought up such matchless phrase?

It seems as if a portion of the profits this horse earns (earned?) goes to charity, so maybe that was the part that interested Al.

Does anyone know why Al's number is 27? cos I think I've figured it out! the atomic mass of Aluminium is 27, and the abbreviation is Al! Al 27! and the chemical number is 13.

Someone may have mentioned this before. But it does make an awful lot of sense. Al likes subtle references, and we've been told he was a fairly big "nerd" in high school.

That's probably the reason he keeps using it, however I can think of two reasons he would have used it in his early songs. 1 - purely for rhythmic purposes, or 2 - because it's the perfect "ordinary" number. I know when I heard about the obsession with 27 it made a lot of sense to me because it's such a random and normal number.

Technically though, this conversation belongs in Generic Al Blather, or possibly the 27 topic.

You can add your info about Derailroaded to the already existing topic here.

Nice story about the cancer survivor meeting Al.
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!
