hehe, yeah, I guess that wouldn't be so bad. Just a little reasoning here: maybe, since Al is usually showered and fresh for M & G's, he's thinking "Well, I really didn't wear that shirt for very long. I like it. I'll wear it again tomorrow." hehe! Or not.
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:
"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11
So awesome!

There was a weird moment in SLN and I couldn't figure out at the time what it was. But when I was on the way home, I listened to the song and figured out what it was.
He sang
What caught my attention was that he sang the first Nirvana kind of odd, I wasn't sure exactly what he said. I think he got to that point and realized he'd gotten them out of order then had to scramble to fix it.
Poor Al. just one more thing to go wrong.
And another stray memory... when he took off running across the stage with the mic, I was really scared he was going to tumble off the edge. He got awfully close.
He sang
Here we are now, we're Nirvana
Well we don't sound like Madonna
Buy our album, we're Nirvana
Sing distinctly? We don't wanna

Oh great, now someone's gonna go to Bubble Gum Alley, locate the picture of Al, and steal the piece of gum I chewed and stuck to the picture, take my teeth imprints and use it to fashion a pair of fake dentures, in which they will use to take a bite out of the giant Cheeto in Algona, Iowa, upsetting the townsfolk, causing them to hunt me down and prosecute me to the fullest extent of the law, where I'll end up getting 30 consecutive life sentences without chance of parole, and have to share a jail cell with Michael Jackson!! Thanks a lot scottidog!!!scottidog @ Jul 30 2004, 12:28 PM wrote: Remember upthread the mention of the pic that Helen gave to Al from Bubblegum Alley. Yes I know. Notice the the Throw word in quotations.Orthography Enthusiast @ Jul 30 2004, 12:24 AM wrote: And, BTW, Skip didn't THROW the kid off the stage. No Al fans, no matter how cluelesssly self-promoting, were harmed in the making of this concert.

Oh........ okay......
OE wrote: Also BTW, the other guy, who handed Al his Poodle Hat insert onstage, did so AFTER telling me he was planning to do it, and AFTER I told him don't do it, that's a stupid idea, you might have a chance after the concert but don't hand Al things during. He did it anyway. He was totally undeservedly lucky to have got it back at all (if that was you Ed, you were nicer to him than he deserved) AND gotten it signed.
Amen, Helen. He was very lucky. I love the way Al handled it too.

scottidog wrote: "Ok, you sing it." Annoyed look "Now sing it BETTER!" I guess you have to hear the inflection in his voice.

That's the one. I'll never forget how AL looked at it, with such joy and compassion. Then he slid it under his seat and looked at me.
