Just saw Stop Making Sense at the Egyptian Theater here in LA this past weekend. Awesome concert film....one of the best I've seen. Yes, if Al could pull of something closer to that than just a "point-and-shoot" concert like the last one, I'd be ecstatic. (Okay, I'm ecstatic to get ANY concert film from Al, but I wouldn't mind if it were a little more cinematic than the 1999 concert video.)

The one thing I have ALWAYS wanted to see was the behind the scenes of a Weird Al concert. I hope this concert film demystifies the between-songs process, ie what is going on while those videos are playing? I would really like to see what the room looks like that Al changes costumes in and how long that actually takes him to do.

I thought this is what happened between songs

I loved that special. I videotaped it off Disney Channel way back then. Wore out the VHS re-watching it and a few other things. Ended up re-taping a late night re-run in like, '98. Haven't seen much of it since except a few clips on YouTube.

They should find a way to put this out.
