Thank you! That would be great if Al did that for me!!

Kristine @ Jul 11 2008, 05:14 AM wrote: The reason the venue can control photography/videography is because... it's THEIR venue. If they don't want images of THEIR venue and/or people performing there, it's THEIR choice. The only way the artist can control it is if the artist's rules are stricter than the venue (say, the venue allows photos, but the artist doesn't).

The only thing I disagree with is the whole "pro" versus "non-pro" camera rule. Here in Orange County, most people have the money to pick up a nice $2k camera and lens... but that doesn't mean they know how to use it well. That, and many point and shoots have such high image quality that the line has become blurred. I keep a point and shoot in my purse, and I've gotten some gallery-worthy images off it. The camera itself doesn't 100% distinguish a professional from a non-professional anymore. [/rant]
You make a really good point there Kristine. It seems a rather meaningless distinction to make.

I did not have any problems with security though I could tell they were very serious. I did notice the female security guard in front of me at times would break her professional alll serious demeanor and turn around and laugh at some of the video interviews. She often made faces too in reaction to Al, normally laughing at what he happened to be doing on stage. I did add some pics on my myspace page in a slideshow ...hopefully you have the latest adobe flash player so you can enjoy 192 pics of Al at the Lawn! These were all taken from third row.

You can also PM me for an invite to my kodak gallery...it may take a bit to get back with you though. I would just need your email for the invite.
Wonderful concert and really thought Al stayed at our side of the stage during Pentiums a ton so we got some great photo ops
