Do you have a pre-arranged place to meet?
As for designated place to meet, I "make the rounds" and visit seat locations so I can pass out nametags. That way, you're easier to spot if you're not in your seat. We all look for others with badges! Of course, you have an easy way for us to spot you....the chair! I'll keep an eye out for you!

Forgive the repeat post....I have AD/HD. I forgot I already responded as I'm going through all the posts to be sure I have everyone who might want a badge.

WOWAYers who are lurking and attending this show, I'll try to accommodate you as well, but I do have a limited amount of badges/holders.

Sorry for the delayed post in my seat number, AM. It's #7. I think you already have my Section, Row.

As of right now, I am sitting directly across from the Fraze. I am in a city park parking lot. Hopefully, people are allowed to park here. Just employees have been showing up lately, and some are standing at the corner guarding over something. Either that, or mindlessly chatting. They don't look to be too much of a threat, though. Hopefully we can keep this spot.

Doesn't look like they are doing a sound-check today. The band bus didn't get here until 4:28, even though Bermuda got here around 20 minutes earlier than them. He pulled in the spot right beside us, in a Honda, so I got to meet one member of the band. He was with a woman(not going to delve into it, because I don't feel it's my business), and they left again around 30 minutes ago. That's what makes me think that there's not going to be a sound-check. They couldn't really do one without a drummer. The car had Ohio tags, so he must have a friend in Ohio. I don't know, but it was cool, nontheless.

Can't wait to see you all here at the show! Should be great, hopefully as good as last night!!

Hi, I'm new to this forum, so forgive the intrusion. I just attened the concert and I was wondering if anyone could tell me why Al interrupted the performance of Amish Paradise? Was it on purpose, or did something go wrong? Am I just a nutball for not getting it? Anyway, THANKS! Hope you guys enjoyed the concert as well as I did!

No intrusion! I'm glad someone else brought that up. I was wondering that too. Maybe it was a joke??

Alinite27 was at the previous night's show, so maybe he can shed some light on it. I thought it unusual that they would all be in costume, needlessly, but then again, that could have been the joke!

I was glad to meet as many of you as I did. And, as promised, here's my official apology to weirdALgurl:

I'm so sorry, so sorry, really I am. I'm scum, no, the microbes that lie under the scum on the bottom of the barrel. I let you down and I'm torn up inside. CAN YOU FORGIVE ME????

On a lighter note....thanks to all who helped get signatures! The clipboards were flying around and I lost count!

I have only 2 sheets unaccounted for. If anyone has it, please let me know so we can get it back to Greg.

I'm going to look at my pics and see if I have anything worthwhile.

Well, the concert was definitely awesome and came up to last night's performance!

The song that interrupted Amish Paradise was "Radio, Radio". This is one of the band's favorite cover songs to play, and I have seen them perform this 3 times previously to tonight. This was at the sound-checks in Florida. Since then, they had dropped it from the recent sound-checks I had listened to. So, it was really cool for me to be able to hear it again. I mentioned it to Al when I met him at the bus after the show. I said, "Thanks for screwin up in Amish Paradise, and playin Radio Radio. I love it when you guys play it". He said, "Well, we didn't screw up..just felt like playin it..but thanx, anyway..". I then told him I would see him again tomorrow night, and he said great.

I felt bad for him tonight, because I could tell they were in a hurry and there were TONS of people waiting for autogrpahs after the show. But as Al never disappoints, he still signed and met. I heard from a woman after the show, that she gave her other backstage pass to a girl that was getting signatures for the Rock Hall. Was that you AM? I looked for any other forum members w/ their badges on, but couldn't find any. I waited at the band bus, until the security moved us over. I was hoping that it wasn't the "security swerve". But, it wasn't...sorry I didn't get to meet anyone after the show. Didn't go around before the show, and also sorry I missed you all. Thanx for the nametag, though, AM...I now have one for this tour to go with my Poodle Hat one!

The concert went near perfect except with the either mess up/joke that "Radio, Radio" was in Amish Pardise. Even though, I could never believe Al would lie..maybe the perfectionist in him didn't want to admit in messing up. Although, he could have meant to segue into the song. Either way, it was great to finally see it up close and in full Amish costume! Elvis C. would be proud....lol.

He kept the Headline News part in, and it still fits perfectly. Love it. The reactions to everything tonight were unbelivable. Definitely one of the greatest reaction that I have been involved in, so far on this tour-chase. Encore was great, as well, as the women to the left of me left, letting me move over a chair, and having more room to move around and get into Albuquerque.

Great show, and can't wait for Merrillville tomorrow night!

Yes, that was me! There were a lot of sigs. Check the Rock Hall thread for more details.

Thanks for the clarification too.

Now, get some rest for the next show!

The lady was a DJ for Dementia.org, I think, I didn't write it down.

Woohoo! I had the most perfect day an Al Gal could ever ask for.

Had a quick and easy drive down to Kettering. Got lost walking from the shopping center to the Fraze, but it was okay, because my sister and I stepped into a gas station and got really good directions from a very nice gas station attendant who was -in a good natured way- jealous of my going to the show. Got to meet about 6 WOWAYers, but I didn't get to see you Alinite. Linda, thanks a million for the name tags; what a great idea!
Show started about 30 min. late because of the sun. One of the fraze officials came out on the stage around 8:15 and said "We're waiting for it to get a little bit darker" - had a good laugh about that. Didn't get to sit as close to the stage as I thought I would, but oh well. I wasn't expecting the orchestra seating to be as big as i was. No biggie. LOVED the 'Radio Radio' bit. My sister was mad because she's not much of an Al fan, and complained that it was the song she wanted to see more than anything else. Oh well. Managed to catch 5 Al dollars during ISY. More on that in a minute.
Several people were silly enough to get up and leave after Fat... too bad for them. I grabbed my camera and walked over to the center aisle during Cellphones, and then at the start of Albuquerque, since none of the Fraze people had stopped me (I think it was my big professional looking camera) decided to risk it and walk all the way up to the stage. I sat down on the ground so I wouldn't be in anyone's way, and thereby lessen my chances of getting thrown out. It worked! I think I got some pretty good shots of Albuquerque. Not sure about the rest of my concert pics, especially my second roll, because somehow or other when that rol ran out the camera didn't wind it back up all the way, and I think I took some double pictures. I'll have to see.

Anyhow, after the show, I met up with some other WOWAYers and we hung around on the side of the stage waiting on a M&G until the "more darker" lady came around and called for people with backstage passes. (How does one go about getting those?) She told the rest of us that we needed to wait outside the venue, so we all marched out, and lo and behold, there were the buses! So we stood around for almost an hour, during which time I overheard some kids telling their dad that they hadn't been able to get any of the Al dollars, so I gave them each one -I'm not down to two. We're still standing around, looking very much like cattle, and finally a Fraze person came up and started marching us up to the buses. He was all serious like "only one autograph per person, no pose photos, etc." I was like "SCREW YOU!!! This is my idol!" My sister was in line in front of me, and met Al first. I think she clammed up a bit, but handed him her ticket and said something to the effect of "I really had a lot of fun tonight!" I didn't hear what Al said in response. Then it was my turn. I walked around the side of the door and said "Hi!" Al said hi back, and I handed him the shirt I wanted signed (a few here might remember the ebay auction a few months back for the JibJab DICYO shirt that I won. It was that one) Al goes "you get that on ebay?" I was like "yup!" and he goes "That's cool." and started signing it. I hesitated a second and then screwed up my courage. "Can I tell you a quick story?" I said. "Yeah, sure!" said Al. So I said "last january, my great grandma was diagnosed with advanced terminal cancer and congenital heart failure, and a week ago she had a massive stroke. The doctors don't expect her to make it but for about 2 more weeks. And I just wanted to say thank you for your music, because if it hadn't been for that, I would've lost it during these past 6 months." Al looked up from signing, and said "aww, come here" AND HE BEAR HUGGED ME!!!!!!!! Ahhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thanked him because there were about a hundred other people in line, and literally skipped away. Totally forgot to take a close up of Al while I had the chance. I'm still buzzing and I probably won't get to sleep at all tonight.

Had no problem walking back to my car, finding the interstate, or driving home. My love of Al has skyrocketed, and my respect for my little 94 ford fourbanger has increased tenfold. I honestly did not expect it to make it all the way to Kettering and back without experiencing some sort of break down. So like I said, all in all, this could not have been a more perfect day. Special thanks go out to Linda (accordionmom) for making those name tags. I'll keep mine forever; a WOWAYer who was kind enough to give me one of her markers (I can't remember your name, sorry!); and above all, to Al, for taking an extra 5 seconds to wrap me in the sweetest bearhug of my life. I have to finish off this roll of film, which will include a picture of my signed shirt, and then find the money to get all 4 rolls developed. But as soon as I can, I'll have them online for everyone to see.

Hooray Autumn!!!!! I'm so happy you finally met Al and got a Yanko-hug. Lucky! That was an awesome concert review and while reading it, I seriously had you excitement. Thanks everyone else for your reviews too, sorry that I was directing so much love to Autumn but because of her great grandmother, and this only being her second concert, I was excited. :D
