Thanks for the screen caps, Patti! I'm hoping to get that when I open my presents.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya, Kevbo. It's a wonderful cd, and the dvd side is cool, too.

I'm sure it was a rerun, but I saw Al's good pal, Coolio, on Fear Factor. He won $50,000 for his favorite charity. I don't remember what it was.
Is it wrong that I got a little thrill seeing El Cool Magnifico covered in superworms, centipedes and scorpions?

No.
Did they clean them off him at the end of the show?

Yes. But he was mighty freaked out. He almost quit, but he couldn't let Kelly Preston beat him. Since she was just a girl and all. He actually did very well on all of the challenges. He and Donny Osmond seemed to really hit it off.

Can we hope they'll do a video together?

re: Ben on the Late Show
Landed w/strings -- very nice
footnote...
The version with strings didn't make it on the album, but the guy who arranged them, Paul Buckmaster, did the strings for a lot of Elton John's early albums. I've met Paul -- he's a cool guy.

I missed Ben on Letterman. I watched the NBA Finals, and got so depressed after the Pistons lost that I didn't remember about the show. I don't remember what time the game ended, either, so I don't know if I would have been able to see Ben, anyway. I was kinda thinking he would do Landed. You can hear the version with strings on the dvd side of Songs for Silverman. It is pretty.

Well, your finger-crossing worked! I got the Dualdisc!! I was so excited! I got to see him on Letterman last night and I really enjoyed "Landed". The strings version is much better than the regular version. I also got "Rockin' the Suburbs".
