Definitely don't think one-hit-wonder status is an issue for Al. "White & Nerdy" is one of his most successful and popular parodies ever and Chamillionaire has all but vanished.

Apparently, Al attended the KS1075 Summer Jam at the Fiddler's Green in Englewood, CO today. KS107.5 is the local R&B/hip-hop radio station in the Denver area and this was their annual summer concert series. Their morning show producer posted photos of Al on on
Facebook and
Instagram.
What's particularly interesting about the Instagram photo is the caption, stating that Al was there to see Iggy Azalea perform and that he was "waiting to talk with her" backstage.
I won't speculate about this any further. I just thought it was worth sharing. Whatever they discussed, the fact that Al apparently just
had to travel all the way to my home state to do so just...blows my mind.

Kept hearing about this iggy person with the fancy song wondering why I had no idea what anyone was talking about. YouTube helped me realize I had no idea cuz I found its the annoying song I turn off immediately when I hear it cuz it gets on my nerves. I'm sure Als touch will make it tolerable and actually good though, just hope there is something better out there but he wouldn't be going to actually talk to her unless he really wanted to do it(I assume)

Wow Al was in CO & I had no clue...

Does this possibly mean Al has a "Fancy" parody in mind? Or perhaps he wants to parody "Problem" & have Iggy parody rap her part? So little information but so much to speculate. He came all the way to CO to talk to Iggy, I think something big might be in the works

Agree that the Iggy Azalea thing does look like a clue, but knowing what a machiavellian schemer he is about secrecy, is it not possible that the Iggy Azalea tweets and instagrams could be a bluff to cover something or someone else he could be talking to? TBH I only heard of Iggy Azalea yesterday and I haven't managed to get all through to the end of her hit song, which is dreadful.. still Al always knows what he is doing so I'm not too worried

I'm really glad I'm not the only one thinking this. I barely made it through the song so hopefully if it is on Al's mind he can make it more tolerable.

The radio producer even hashtags his photo #IggyParody. He's probably just speculating just like us, but why else would Al go all the way to Colorado just to meet Iggy Azalea? Something tells me it's not because he just a big hip-hop fan. (And seems like a long way to go--literally--just to throw a handful of his fans off track.) I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall during that conversation...I wonder if Iggy even knows who Al is? (Avril Lavigne didn't.) She's signing autographs and suddenly there's this strange guy she's never heard of asking if he can take her hit song and make it about pizza or something. (Surely not pizza, but you get my drift.)
As for "Fancy", love it or hate it, the song is a bit of an earworm. I've listened to it a few times to see if I can visualize Al doing something with it, and I have to say I can totally see it. Plenty to play with in that song, and "lots of words", which is always good. But darn it....I can't get the *%#$@! thing out of my head now!

More silly speculation: If Al were to take "Fancy", and change it to "Nerdy", what would be the pros and cons since White & Nerdy was such a smash?

I considered that, too. Seems like the most natural direction to go in, but yeah...between W&N, Pentiums, and "Gee, I'm a Nerd" (unreleased, I know), he's pretty much covered that ground. Then again, he went back to the same food and TV well back in the 80's multiple times with success, so who knows?
Personally, I would hope he'd go in an uncharted direction with the subject matter, but as long as it's funny I'm in!

I dunno, I feel like it's too soon after White And Nerdy for another song focused just on nerd culture, even though White And Nerdy is 8 years old. Having albums so spread apart will do that.
