A fan-fic (short for fan fiction) is a fictional story written by a fan of something, usually a show or a video game. I've read some pretty horrifying fics of seemingly innocent shows, like Invader Zim.
One word of advice is to read all the little acronyms in the fic description, and if you don't know what all of them mean....look them up. DO IT. It may save you some of your sanity.

Oh wait, you said seemingly innocent. Whenever you add the word seemingly to something, it usually isn't.

Like I am seemingly a really crazy person.

But Al Related Story is close to a fanfic, using Al and how he might act in some other story.

How about "Al Travels to the Moon"?
Hilarity ensues.

So while everyone else was at the Grammys, Al was at the Annies and the Pollstar Awards.

for all I know, though, he could have been at the Grammys too... I mean, he's a member, why shouldn't he go and applaud even if he's not nominated for anything?
