Who Would Be The New Al If He/she Wanted To?

He who's tired of Weird Al is tired of life.

[quote="JCMHowever, you guys have to understand that the majority of the population loves Nucka. Yes, he is vain and insensitive, but he sells more on iTunes than the Lonely Island and Weird Al combined.[/quote]

really? At the moment, Alpocalypse (Deluxe Version) is #1 on the iTunes comedy album chart, and Al has two songs on the iTunes comedy songs chart (interestingly, they're Eat It and Amish Paradise). Mr. Ali does not appear anywhere in the top 10 of either of these charts. Are you perhaps depending on Mr. Ali himself for this sales information?

Huh? I'm getting this from Wikipedia, which got it from here. That Current article was written exactly a year before Alpocalypse, so it may be outdated.
How old was that last signature? I mean, really?

Outdated, yeah. At the moment, on Amazon, "I'm Black, You're White, and These Are Clearly Parodies" is
Amazon Bestsellers Rank: #13,126 Paid in MP3 Albums (See Top 100 Paid in MP3 Albums)
while Poodle Hat is
Amazon Bestsellers Rank: #169 Paid in MP3 Albums (See Top 100 Paid in MP3 Albums)
#5 in MP3 Downloads > MP3 Albums > Miscellaneous
and Straight Outta Lynwood is
Amazon Bestsellers Rank: #1,371 Paid in MP3 Albums (See Top 100 Paid in MP3 Albums)
so even Al's 2 most recent older albums are breezing past him, and Running With Scissors from way back in 1999 is not that far behind him at:
Amazon Bestsellers Rank: #15,188 Paid in MP3 Albums (See Top 100 Paid in MP3 Albums)
If I were Al, I wouldn't be that worried.

Strange. Why is Poodle Hat so high on the charts? It was released seven years ago. Though I guess that also means it has had plenty of time to build up sales. However, that doesn't explain RWS's low rank. Wasn't that a popular album?

You act like it is uncommon for an older album to be charting well online. Look at the friggin' iTunes chart, man.

Probably because it's on sale right now for 5 bucks.

Does Amazon usually announce those sales? This is the first place I heard of it.

Amazon tracks the pages you visit and the things you buy. Most likely, if you're a Weird Al fan who's bought Weird Al stuff from Amazon before, the $5 Poodle Hat deal showed up somewhere where you'd see it.

I'd like to see a source....I HIGHLY doubt that...I know Nucka does well on itunes, but no way is it more than Al and LI combined.

Just as with David Tanny, why are we even talking about this idiot? Let's all just ignore him and focus on real people.
