Merrillville was a lot of fun! I did notice right as Al came on stage a piece of green gaffers tape (which I think was supposed to hold a mic on his accordion??)had come loose and a stage manager immediately came over with some black tape to fix it.
The funniest part for me was during Wanna Be Your Lover Al knocked over the mic stand on purpose and the stage manager set it back up again for him but then Al knocked it over again immediately..got a big laugh. During this song Al sang to the person right next to me.
The only sore spot for this show is the guy behind me kept yelling (which is okay at a concert I realize) but he was doing it right into my right ear.....I literally could not hear parts of some songs due to his excitement.. but hey I guess he really enjoyed the show! He also seemed to be drinking as I got beer breath all night as well.
That is a minor quibble which had nothing to do with Al's performance! I did like how security let everyone rush the stage at the end! Very cool.
I'm glad I did not stay around for a meet and greet though.

Was this the same guy that walked into the aisle multiple times?

Whoever that guy was, although I appreciate enthusiasm and fun-having, he seemed rather drunk and offensive in his shoutings.

And as far as the two flubs, they were great. Al really enjoyed them too, judging by his face, and I loved how Al purposely went and knocked the stand back over. Great fun, great fun...

Does anyone know where the video for this is on Youtube? Savanna said she saw it, but I want to see it too.

celeb circle is basically "orchestra pit seating"

however new for this leg of the tour, you had to either 1. purchase vip through artist arena

or 2. purchase Star Plaza's VIP package which also included the big Celebrity circle lounge...

which in the past, i know you've been able to buy those seats without having to do one of those 2 things.. so I don't know what the deal is... but some of the celeb circle seats are good..others .. not so much and they're over priced. for what you do get if you get the crappy seat.

I loved Al's reaction as the stagehand was taping the mic back onto his accordion. that was hilarious.. and of course the whole knocking the mic stand back over.. hehe

I'm sure it was the same guy. I think I just now got my hearing back after him screaming in my ear for 3/4 of the concert. It still was an outstanding concert at any rate.

Indeed, it would take a lot for something to ruin the time I had at this concert!
