OK - it's roll call time!
Attention Rock Hall Volunteers!

Step up and be counted! If you've been watching the Rock Hall thread, you would have seen Greg's latest count:

We're now 6,144 signatures shy of the 10,000 goal. For the nineteen remaining upcoming concerts, that's a new average of 324 signatures (or a little over sixteen full pages) per concert to meet the goal. Thankfully, it's starting to get better now.

I plan on bringing 21 pages on 4 clipboards with pens attached. Each page of mine will have my cellphone number along the side margins asking whoever has it to please contact me so I may retrieve. I simply printed the pages and then ran them through again with just the information in a Word document. I also numbered my pages so I know immediately if some are missing.

Unless Kings Island makes me take the clipboards back to the car, I plan on bringing them in. I set the metal detectors off at the State Fair, but when I declared it was the metal on my clipboards, the trooper just looked inside my backpack and waived me through. Having been through KI security before, they are pretty tough. Let's just hope for the best.

With 5 of us collecting, we can easily get 324 signatures. We just have to pass it through the rows up front where the biggest fans are!

Thanks for stepping up:

It's now 308 signatures, or 62 per person.

LOL! I was just reading your last post! and... I was going to say,

"Wait - here's breaking news from the RRHOF topic:

I think at this point we're going to have to have a "late summer/fall" tour shirt now just because there's no way all those dates will fit onto one anymore.

At the moment we're still 6,144 signatures short of the 10,000 goal, but that's only because none have arrived to me in the last day or so (but there are still many out there). So, for the now-twenty remaining upcoming concerts, that's a new average of 308 signatures per show...or about fifteen-and-a-half pages.

And again, we need more volunteers for every show. So far response has been good, obviously since a few concerts from my original plea this week have already been claimed, but there are still some major cities yet to be covered by someone...Minneapolis, Vancouver, Denver, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Albuquerque, etc.
"

I think I'm following you, Greg..... :F

Weather update!

Now it 75 degrees and 40% chance of T-showers. Whatever that means.

This, of course, will change daily.

I don't think they allow umbrellas, so, I guess you should plan to bring a plastic poncho. They sell them just about everywhere - but if you buy one at KI, be prepared to pay more than it's worth!

Just a note - while perusing the forum....a bunch of fans are looking for Yank-o-bucks, so if you manage to get a bunch, could you check the thread and possibly share!

Remember - it isn't fair .... not to share!

I will do my best to grab some up to share!

Okay, Spongebob, er, I mean kaffy©! :P

I offered to send off any sheets to Greg if you get them to me at the end of the evening. I'll be sure you get proper credit!

For those of you taking clipboards into the park and are worried about being stopped at the gate, here's a little subterfuge you can try: turn your stack of pages over so that they just look like blank pages, and maybe put one of Al's CD inserts on the top so it looks like you're just bringing in something to get an autograph on.

And if you're bringing in something like a backpack with your clipboards inside, put a notebook in front of them...this way it looks like you're just going to be taking notes for something, like a project or an article.

I have never been to a concert during a storm, I know all shows are rain/shine, but does it affect the quality of the show at all? The storm may not mess up the concert, but it will sure make the time in the park no fun, a hint of thunder and everything shuts down. The waterpark I think will ever shut down if a storm is moving in.

Well I guess during a storm all the AL fans could meet somewhere and hang out, there are some good large indoor areas.

Speaking of my volunteering, I better get my stuff together, print off some petitions. I bet we can exceed our goal. It may also be a good idea to bring large plastic bags, freezer or somethin big enough to hold the clipboards, we don't wanna get those wet.
