That was my impression, as well.

That's really unfortunate, because I like to think a lot of us appreciate Ruben's musical talent greatly in addition to his comedic flair.

Indeed. He's an amazing keyboard player. And he's got great comedic timing. He's also very nice in person. The night I met Al, the most surreal moment for me was standing there chatting with Rubén about my camera. He wanted to look at it, and I tried not to be paranoid, but hey... there were concert pictures on there. Please be careful!!! He was asking me how I liked that camera, and we chatted about the one he'd been using. Just a normal conversation. Part of me was thinking "I'm talking to Rubén, about my camera!!!!!" After that, it just didn't seem all that odd to talk to Al.

Rubén, if you're reading this: You know we love you, right? Even if we tease?

Yeah, he always did a great job with the cone bra, especially if he didn't like it. It never showed up in the act.

There were one or two live shows I saw in 2004 where Ruben really did seem to be upset about something, and there wasn't even a cone bra on that tour.

Yeah, I do remember one of those shows. But, it's got to be tough being cooped up in a bus or motel room all the time, and probably not sleeping very well.
AL! You ATE Harvey!? YOU ATE HARVEY/??!!

I remember hearing that Rubén didn't like the cone bra, but as it's been mentioned, you could never tell during TWS. He has great comedic timing and is an excellent musician as well. I always appreciate his musical talents and his other stuff is excellent.

I've met Rubén a couple of times and he's always been extremely nice.

He could always take a page from Steve's book and bring along a bicycle. Put a few miles between you and the nearest fellow band member every so often, get some fresh air blowing through your brain... I bet Steve sleeps just fine. And it's given him a really praiseworthy set of nether extremities too (was that a sufficiently Victorian way of saying "nice legs?" :S )

And, BTW, I'm really looking forward to seeing Al on the Tonight Show too. :)
"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.

And to quote our Mr. Nice Legs (in reference to the Tonight Show performance): "Brace yourself! This is gonna be cool." :D

Cool! WOWAY is representing tomorrow night! Though it might be harder to see anyone in the audience as the Tonight Show doesn't tend to feature much of the audience unless one of the skits includes the audience.

Good luck on youtube. Someone has mentioned it before but NBC likes to request their shows or performances to be taken off the internet. When Al was with Ben Folds on the Tonight Show, that was taken off youtube.
