They're people with very little tact and intelligence (in my opinion) but I'd never wish harm on anyone, even if they "deserve" it..Al wouldn't like that. At all. :(

Maybe not, but it'd still be fun. Nothing that would cause permanent damage, though. Stuff like flipping cars over, jamming radio signals (where's Philo?), strange phone calls, you know, stuff like that.

I was disturbed by the mention of Al fans sending death threats

That was the most disturbing part to me too.

Yeah, I don't want the guy dead or anything...I'd just love to rough him (and his 'friends') up a little bit. But really, he was asking for the death threats with how he handled the interview--and especially how he handled the post-interview. Nobody's going to kill him.

Calling up and saying "you were wrong to do that" isn't going to hurt him (proven by his reactions when people called in after the interview to complain), because even if he knows he was wrong, he's going to defend himself. Because he's a jerk. Death threats would be the only way to try and strike fear in him, although he's probably not that fearful of blog threats. At least I wouldn't be....

They're probably just making up the death threats in a pathetic attempt to make anyone who disagrees with them look bad. Rover's even dumber than I thought he was. Because Al wasn't responsive to other questions, his reaction was to go back to the thing that made him unresponsive in the first place?! What kind of logic is that? What a moron!

Don't even go there. :stern:

RATINGS threats are the way to deal with obnoxious media persons, because they all want to continue being obnoxious media persons, instead of obnoxious private persons looking for gainful employment. Complaints to the station management, the sponsors, boycotts... all those are in the toolbox. Death rhetoric will either not be taken seriously, or it will. And "will" is worse.

Death threats? Where? Anyone with a moderate amount of online knowledge knows that anything on Something Awful doesn't count, so they're going to have to come up with something a little better than that if they want to feign the innocent victim act.

I personally don't want Rover dead...just unemployed.

*applause*

That's the way to get to 'em. Hit them where it hurts most, so to speak.

Their wallets and reputations. Not that they seem to care much about those to begin with... <_<
