I actually learned a few things from that article that I either didn't know before or had forgotten, including that Al sought to remake One More Minute as a duet with Frank Sinatra and that Al was offered an opening spot for the European leg of Michael Jackson's Bad tour.

C'mon. No way did Al wear a fake mustache for two years!

No, but he did put it on for the Drew Carey Show and also for another show he did around the same time

Here is an interview Al did with the Denver Post to plug his upcoming Arvada, CO gig.

Al was on this podcast, and there's some uncommon territory broached. The most interesting part for me was a throwaway comment he made about the unlikelihood of a sequel to UHF because "half the cast is dead or certifiably insane." That's the first comment I've heard him make on how he feels about the present day Victoria Jackson.

He had previously made a comment (a tweet possibly?) about how Michael Richards is now only the
second most hated UHF cast member. For what it's worth, Richards will be in a new sitcom on TV Land with Kirstie Alley so maybe he would be on board. (Note: I am confident there will never be a UHF sequel)

Didnt he and Victoria Jackson date? Looking through the photos from WireImage that I posted on another topic i saw him with a few other ladies but never with her. Wasnt she a bit more popular back when she was on SNL or am i just making an incorrect assumption. Just thought maybe they would have gone to some event together

Yep, they did date:
Ask Al, February 1999 wrote: Drew Stern of MD asks: Have you ever dated any well known (female) celebrities?
About ten years ago I was involved with singer Nicolette Larson, who, I'm very sad to say, passed away about a year ago. I also very briefly dated Terri Nunn (from the group Berlin), Laraine Newman (from SNL) and yes, during her hiatus between marriages, Victoria Jackson.
Victoria Jackson was never really popular on SNL. She had a few segments that were well-received (her Roseanne impersonation; the "I Am Not a Bimbo" song) but, at best, she was just a background player in a cast filled with dynamos like Phil Hartman, Dana Carvey and Jan Hooks; at worst, her nasal "little girl" persona (which Hooks maintains is an act) makes her a mainstay of "worst cast members ever" lists.

Actually, that exact phrase appears as a caption under a UHF cast photo on page 95 of the Nathan Rabin book.
