Good interview, but I don't know about Al recording THIS May. Unless he has absolutely no more May dates planned for this year, I have to wonder how he will work that around his touring schedule.

Well he said May, so I'm sure he knows the schedule. For all we know he could just be going in to do one song.

My guess is that we're looking at all the May tour dates this year and that Al is going to use the time off (until June, probably) to record however many originals he is ready to.

Hopefully Al's gonna knock all the originals out at once this time, because last time it took several months just for "If That Isn't Love" and "Stop Forwarding That Crap To Me" after the first initial originals were recorded.

I really hope he adds more dates. He usually always comes to Cincinnati but so far no luck. The other ohio date is about 4 1/2 hours away which is quite far of a drive for me. Glad he's going into the studio though

I could definitely see him doing that since he did that with the "Poodle Hat" and "Lynwood" originals, but since his last album came out almost a year ago and he's been on tour most of that time...I doubt he's come up with an entire album's worth of originals in that time...one or two is more likely...

Al was apparently on the Sirius Radio show Playboy Morning Show. Anyone subscribe? Do they archive shows? Here is a rundown and a few pics..
