Alright, so all we need now is to get one of the most famous, influential rock stars of all time to make a dedicated and sincere pitch to the Rock Hall committee on behalf of Weird Al. Should be easy!

I'm not sure if he qualifies as an Al Pal but there's no way Al wasn't influenced by Frank Zappa's buddy, the legendary Captain Beefheart, who

Al directly referenced Captain Beefheart at least once - in his
Home Movies on Poodle Hat, at 5:26 he referenced Beefheart's "The Blimp."
RIP.

Dunno if it qualifies as an Al's Pal, but I saw Gilbert Gottfried and he made some references to Billy Barty.
