Well, yes, Al said that...thirteen years ago to a fanzine with relatively minuscule distribution. If that same question came up in, say, the next edition of "Ask Al" on an internationally accessible official web site, it's doubtful that Al would come off that relaxed about it.

After all, the very top of the archive page does say....

Please keep in mind that some of the answers which were relevant at the time they were given will seem quite "dated" now and may possibly be inaccurate.

Wait... Whata re you talking about? if you're referring to that line from A Complicated Song, where he says he'd have to "move to alabama where that kind of thing is tolerated", I don't recall Indiana being mentjion at all in the song (maybe he altered the line in Alabama concerts). I live in indiana and wouldn't have been very offended (though I went to the louisville concert instead of the indianapolis one... hey, I live closer to lousiville, KY).

In Poodle Hat, near the end of the 2nd leg...he varied in what he said...he usually said whatever city he was in in the place of Alabama.

I also think taping should be allowed, it's not going to hurt if you just have it...actually, it preserves the show for future....but, ah well.....livenation didn't...course, what did they do....

When I went to the concert in Bozeman last year he said,

"Move to Montana where that kind of thing is tolerated."

I thought it was funny because me and my friend Zoe had been saying that way before the concert. Hehe.
"Did you see Journey to the Center of the Earth?"
"I did!"
"Me neither...wait..."
"You had that planned didn't you?"
"..yeah.."

I have no problems with taping, it's just your butt if you get caught, is all :P

Of course, I'm sure some members will see my posting here as proof I'm trying to police everything in their collection and get even more pissy with me. I don't know why I even bother here.....
You have quickly thought up such matchless phrase?

Gladly!! Although I don't know that anyone would want to see me in that black skirt. LOL

At first Jon said they forgot to play it..

I saw Fred and Kathy there. I accidentally hit Kathy in the head with one of the beachballs. Fred has cool pants.

Is that kind of treatment universal with Live Nation or just there? I know there will be exceptions, but I mean for the most part.

I'm sure weirdal4994 doesn't have anything nice to say.
But I'm with him. I hate security!
