Boy, I bet that person felt like they were on the spot.

Hey everyone! I'm new to the forum and would like to introduce myself.

My name is Devin, and I'm 16 years old. I've been a fan of Al since Amish Paradise, (Since I live in Ohio and it is practically an Amish Paradise itself!) This was my first Weird Al concert, and I had the time of my life!

I know I probably saw some of you there, as I arrived at about 5:30. I was with my mother, and we wanted to get there early because we had General Admission seating. We were actually the first people to enter the grass area, so we got front row center.

Of course, I've been to the LC before, so I knew that General Admission seating wasn't that bad, or I would've gotten one of the seats down front. The only reason I wished I would've been down front is for WBUL, that was really funny, but we could still see it pretty well.

I actually made my mom stay awhile at the bus, because I know when we saw Taylor Hicks there, he came out and signed autographs. But, the guy told us he wasn't gonna come out, so we left.

But, after all of that I was curious to see if Al had some sort of a forum, and I'm really happy to find out that he does! :D

Happy chatting with you all!
-Devin

Yep, the buses left about 45 minutes after the end of the show. Oh well, at least I gave it a try!

I can confirm that as well. It was a bummer for sure.

I had a great time nonetheless!!

My wife and I got there around 5-ish and walked around the town. It seemed awfully deserted if you ask me. We wanted to find a good place to eat and it turned out we walked all around and ended up going back to the first place we saw - Boston's Pizza. I guess it was a brand new placec that technically wasn't even open ofr business yet. They were still doing training but they would still serve us. Food was free! All we had to do was pay for drinks. I'm telling you we had a blast. They food was awesome and with so many bored employees walking around everyone was catering to us. I never expereicned anything like that before.

I was so happy to see as many WOWAYers at the show as I did!! Hi again to everyone I seen!! You know who you are.

The show of course was awesome! Sorry I messed up your picture Lousie. :(
If Greensburg is half as good as this one was, it'll definitely tide me over until the album13 tour.

:peace:

Welcome, DevinTheArtist! This forum is awesome, and I hope you have fun here! Be sure to go over to General Chat/Newbie Zone and introduce yourself over there, too. A couple of my favorite threads are over there in General Chat, so here's a plug from me to check them out:

1. Al's Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame
and
2. Make the Rock Hall Weird!

Hope to see you around the forum! Love your name, by the way (it's my daughter's name-same spelling, too :) )

This was a great show. It was so nice to see all of you, and meet a few newbies:)

I had a young lady with me who really wants to meet Al, and I hope she can do that at the Greensburg Show. I did see the post earlier that there seem to be less Meet and Greets. And, it makes me wonder if there will be one in Greensburg as the show goes to Missouri after a day break following that show.

It's amazing how many times one can see this show, and still leave every time feeling extra happy:)

See you at the Greensburg Show, Mark.

Louise--- It was a pleasure to meet you:) Sounds like you had a great time. And to think I knew exactly who he was talking about when he asked you to sing. LOL.

Devin- Welcome to the group. Al shows are addicting. Perhaps we'll officially meet you next time.

Fred- Your the best ! I hope to see you soon. Thanks for making the show such a special one.

And, I have a question for you all. I actually smelled pot at this show. It was certainly a first. Any one else ?

I smelled pot last year at one of the OC Fair shows. I had security evict the people responsible. Before the show starts there's an announcement "No smoking" The crowd cheers -- it's safe to assume that means no smoking anything.
